How often would you recommend?

Daily? Non lifting days? As much as you can?

2x weekly to start, can go to 4 after a while if needed but dont push it too hard. they are very taxing.

Shin splint city for me with that incline - I'd have to make it flat, but otherwise, that would be an excellent zone 2 workout, and probably very good for "total body" strength as well.

I use this to murder my traps and have had great success in building them.

You better believe I’m using the elevator to get to that stair master.

Kettlebells as well.

I've been doing variations of loaded carries with kettlebells in my backyard in lieu of doing conventional cardio for the past couple of years. I start off with 70 lb KB's in each hand and walk until my grip gives out. After a brief rest I repeat until I get at least 20 mins in. Also good for the shoulders, core and grip strength.

Our gym’s weight room has an small indoor track around it. 23 laps make a mile. We do the farmers on that track. It’s never really crowded. Walk a lap, shrugs, walk a lap, shrugs……

My favorite way to do farmer's carries is with a workout towel threaded through kettlebells preferably or plates. The forearm and trap pump is great.

And walk on the ground like a normal human. I would do laps around the basketball court or find an unused area of the gym and walk back and forth. Walking with weights on a treadmill is silly, at an incline is retarded.

I got some funny looks, but I carried a 25lb kettlebell to my office.

Our office complex roughly sits on 40 acres. If I need to go one of the other buildings I walk unless it's raining. Now I've added the kettlebell and I don't think I can stop.

Just attempted 35lb (suitcase style) and it was tough. Grip strength definitely needs work.

Did 5 minutes each arm and will add 30 seconds each time I do them (non-lifting days). Wondering if it would be better to drop weight and go longer instead?

Just did 1.15 m walk with 25s in each hand. Definitely got super grippy towards the end.

More abs than I anticipated as well. Will continue to add this more into my weekly workouts and try to increase weight as well.

Good stuff.

Also 2 separate old guys rolled down their windows and both asked me if I was trying to make my arms longer. WTF?

I personally don’t understand why anyone does cardio, unless it’s just for heart and lung health. You can manage your body fat through your diet alone. If you build enough muscle with weights, you’ll have a way higher maintenance calorie range.

Yeah. Heart and lung health aren't important at all.

You sound like the guys that are on permanent bulking cycles who look like bloated pigs and always have an excuse for why they don’t/can’t/won’t ever lose weight.

I was just looking at this! Gonna buy some kettlebells today unless dumbells can be used too.

Yes.

There's an older guy that walks every morning on my run route. Dude is jacked. He's walking with a pair of 15 lb dumbbells. He goes through a cycle of curling them then pressing them as he goes. Think he said he does about 5 miles a day.
