was just looking at this! Gonna buy some kettlebells today unless dumbells can be used too.

I don’t think it really matters what you use so long as it’s decently heavy.

Today I used a 30lb sandbag on my shoulder and hit the stair master for 10 min. Switched sides every couple min.

You can walk with them in hands like suitcases. Racked on your shoulders. Above your head like you’re a waiter carrying a tray of food. One arm. Both arms. World is your oyster!

Shin splint city for me with that incline - I'd have to make it flat

Weird, I purposely walk/run on at least 1.5 incline to specifically avoid shin splints. I tend to get them on anything flat if done long enough. Speaking of length (which I try not to—Goddamn you, Dad!!!), someone earlier alluded to the difference/benefits between going heavier weight for less distance or lighter for longer. I guess just find the right balance and maybe just mix it up?

If you want to kick up your Carry's a notch or two. Walk on a 2x4 for part of the way.

ETA. To be more clear. Walk while balancing on a 2x4 on part of the walk.

I walked two days ago with a 35lb dumbbell and holy shite are my legs sore. And I'm a runner!

1.5 miles at a really brisk pace. It burns like a mother. I did it again and I love it. I feel like someone set me on fire.

I also did a half mile up and down stairs. You only think the farmer's walk is brutal until you add stairs.
