I know that the risk of the seed oils is heavily outweighed by my lifestyle.
Are you sure about that? Some of the most health conscious people I knew...most consistent runners and lifters, died very early of heart attacks, Lou Gherig's disease and cancer...There is definitely more to this than lifestyle....diet is critical.

Yes, I eat seed oils incredibly infrequently. I am sure about that.
When I refer to my lifestyle I'm referring to my mostly clean diet.
Again, reading comprehension on this board. The issue is not seed oils. Its that most of you are fat fricks.

You are exactly correct. Eating at home makes it a whole lot easier.

It's interesting. I have not seen any evidence that seed oils are any worse than tallow or butter. I'm not talking about frying. Anything fried is bad no matter which oil is used. I'm also not saying processed foods are fine. No need for straw man arguments. I'm saying if I saute vegetables, I haven't seen any evidence that tallow is better than seed oils.( And a blog post is not evidence). But this has become ubiquitous, and it causes me to think twice.

Made me think of a Layne Norton video. The average American eats 3500 calories a day and does less than 30 min of physical activity a week, but yeah it's the seed oils.

This is the reason I almost exclusively shop at whole foods now. It's the only place around here you can find a large selection of stuff without them.
Don’t you drink like 5 bottles of wine a week?

So, you're too lazy to read ingredients lists, and willing to pay a 20% premium to not have to read at WF. Congrats.
H-E-B sells tons of products like grass fed milk, grain free tortillas, etc., with no BS substitutions. Your issue is likely that using nothing but avocado oil that isn't cut with another oil makes your groceries 30% more expensive, but you do have a choice. The tortillas my ex insists my daughter needs are over $1 each. EACH.

He has a diet rich in polyphenols, acting as antioxidants, helping to neutralize seed oils
Jokes aside, there isn’t much solid evidence that moderate consumption of seed oils is harmful; if anything, the research might suggest the opposite. People often focus on these small details while overlooking bigger, more impactful factors like keeping a healthy weight, staying active, and managing stress.

It’s easy if u don’t eat processed foods

It is not virtually impossible. Convert to a Nova 1 diet and read labels or let the Yuka app do that for you. Yuka app.

If you are evaluating the issue of seed oils, here’s a few articles to read on pro’s & cons, research history, etc.
Harvard Medical School
Mayo Clinic
Johns Hopkins

Regarding hexane, for example, the average person's intake of any possible residual traces of this chemical in oils and other foods is dwarfed by exposures from other sources, such as gasoline fumes. What's more, the dangerous compounds of heated seed oils in fast food are just one aspect of deep-fried fast foods like fries and chicken fingers. These foods also contain high amounts of fat, added sugar, salt, and calories. That's also true of other common calorie sources in the average American diet. "Seed oils are hiding in our food supply, mainly in crunchy, salty, or sweet snack foods that come in a bag, like chips, crackers, cookies, and other baked goods," Kane says. Finally, the linoleic concerns aren't backed by science. Research shows that increasing linoleic acid in the diet doesn't increase levels of inflammatory markers in the blood.
Mayo Clinic

However, it’s important to keep in mind that many processed, packaged foods contain seed oils — which is sometimes why seed oils are thought of as unhealthy. “We do know that diets high in processed foods are linked to poorer health outcomes,” says Ewoldt. “The seed oil is not the likely driver for negative health effects. These processed foods also tend to have higher levels of refined carbohydrates, salt and sugar, which are all things we know in excess can impact health negatively.”
Johns Hopkins
quote:
Seed oils do not cause inflammation, according to nutrition scientists. The concern that they do is based on a misunderstanding of the omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids they contain—essential meaning that humans cannot produce these on their own, so we have to get them from food. Omega-3 and omega-6, the main classes of polyunsaturated fatty acids, exist in high amounts in many seeds, nuts, tofu, fatty fish, seaweed, and eggs, and they play important roles in our overall health. Christopher Gardner, director of nutrition studies at the Stanford Prevention Research Center, explains in an episode Public Health On Call that in addition to providing energy, omega-3 fatty acids are also anti-inflammatory, help lower triglycerides, and help with blood vessel constriction and dilation. “Omega-6s do many of the same things,” just not as effectively as omega-3s, he says. “Somewhere along the line, this got flipped into a misunderstanding that … [omega-6s] do the opposite of omega-3s.”

Yes. It’s difficult. Main benefit is cleaning up your diet because it takes away all processed packaged foods.
Brands matter, and Aldi is your best friend.

Quit worrying about seed oils and start moving more eating less, and lifting weights.
Inflammation alone is enough reason to want to completely eliminate seed oils from diet this isn't even factoring in all the other stuff.
If you eliminate seed oils totally you basically can't screw up your diet which takes care of what you posted before you even lift a weight.

I guess I just don’t understand the obsession of what could possibly be so bad about “seed oils”?
It’s oil, from a seed. Why is that so bad? If you eat tons of it? Sure, but outside of that why are people obsessed with never having it? Rogan?
I understand why super processed foods that CONTAIN seed oils should be avoided, but seed oils itself seems so damn overblown
