I actually prefer the warmup. I may do 2 rounds tomorrow just to loosen up. Makes squats feel easier.

Today’s warmup and then starting with farmers carries had me so excited to just squat. Heaviest DL I’ve done in a couple of months but moved smooth

I know these farmers walks are good for me in many different ways, but if they weren’t in his programs I would never do them on my own.

Day 17 down; tomorrow we party!

Workout was great. Squats felt strong after upping 3%.

Love doing 21s. Best bicep pump I get outside of ring rows.

I got penny wise for squats and bench. Wasn't all that tough with the long rest periods.

That’s exactly how I feel. I feel strong as hell when I set them down. I just wish I knew what 40 or 50 yards was in my gym. I think I’m walking too far, but screw I’ll keep hauling those 50 lb dumbbells from one corner of the gym to the next

I started on Sunday this week because I'm gonna be out of town and miss Thurs and Fri. I can make one up sat and I'll be back on schedule

I worked out in commercial gyms some last week, and I had no idea how much better KBs are for Carries. Yes the wide grip and heavier weight makes it tough, but it was way more comfortable compared to the hand damage from thinner/gnurled db handles. I assume that’s why he programs DB farmer walks just to scrape up my hands.

Frick! I'm just getting started. Had to go to a school board meeting tonight.

Face down Planks are still dumb, but they're growing on me. Maybe. Maybe not.

Warmups are good tonight. My old arse is huffing and puffing.

To save time, I'm going to SS Farmer's carries and Back Squats.

I struggled through tonight. I just wasn't feeling it. This was a really good workout. I felt weak. Mainly my low back. I gave up an used my belt tonight and it got better.

Chins and 21's felt good.

21 to party tomorrow, plan is to get squats done in 3 sets. Bench, depends on how I'm feeling but think it'll be 4 sets.

I have been waiting for the 21 to party workout, it's usually a gut check to keep people honest. I'm going to try to get pennywise tomorrow but we will see, I'm just now getting today's workout done.

On another note, I used my Ohio power bar today to do deadlifts, I usually use my wright equipment next gen bar (similar to the regular Ohio bar, more of an all purpose bar). The power bar felt noticeably different and activated some muscles in my back a little differently than my wright fitness bar. I guess it was the lack of whip in the bar and the lack of spin.

Me and Pennywise partied for Squats. Last set was tough. Maaaaybbe could have grinded out one more rep just to give an idea of my RPE.

After my first set of bench, it was clear that Wednesday was the right partner. No way I was attempting 7 reps at 83% bench in the garage by myself.

Post workout I looked back at the 21 to Party workout from last year. Last year used 83% as well. Last year I did 3x7 at 205. This year I did 3x7 at 230.

I know AA says not to chase a number and I am placing emphasis on form and depth but last year I failed my PR attempt of 260. This year I tested my max the week before Squatober and I maxed out at 295. My goal is 300+ at the PR party, boys.

Squats went fine with 7 reps. Bench was closer but gutted it out.

In the books, on with the day.

Same. Was able to knock out both with 3x7. Bench was tougher than squats.

Got 7s pretty easily on squat. Bench not the same. Struggled to get 7s.

Idk about you guys, but I majorly overlooked the DB shrugs for 25 reps. Not sure if going heavy for 10-12 like I normally do for shrugs is the wrong way to go. But that kicked my butt more than I expected

I'm right there with you, I'm behind as well. I will have to catch up Sunday because there is zero chance I can do anything Saturday. I'm at the football field for 12 hours, and that's not counting the 2 hour drive time.

This 5 day a week schedule really doesn't do well for me, but I'm at least getting it done, just out of sync.
