I’m going bow hunting Friday. Going to have to go find a gym in McComb to get a midday workout between hunts!

Just did my first set of 7. Hoping I can get 2 more in. I was breathing hard at the end.

Got ‘em done. Usually I get antsy with about 30 seconds of rest time left but I squeezed every second out of those 4 minutes.

First set of bench feels like it will be about the same.

Partied with Pennywise. Last set of shrugs now. Took about 45 minutes. Felt solid.

I was feeling some anxiety before this one. I did 7,7,7 last year but it was a much lower weight. I think the most I’d ever done before today was 405 x 5.

Today I did 415 x 7 for three sets and it was BRUTAL. Glad I did it though, it always feels good to do something you didn’t think you were capable of.

That’s why I suck it up and wake up early to get it in. Otherwise I’d never get it done. Everyone has different schedules, I am fortunate to be able to schedule it in early.

I'm right there with you, I'm behind as well. I will have to catch up Sunday because there is zero chance I can do anything Saturday. I'm at the football field for 12 hours, and that's not counting the 2 hour drive time.

This 5 day a week schedule really doesn't do well for me, but I'm at least getting it done, just out of sync.

yea well i have baseabll hitting lessons @730-830 in saturday, then flag football 9-2. all while having all the kids cause wife is goign to the LSU game

frick this whole being a good community leader and volunteering to coach children bullshite :banghead: :banghead:

i like doing it but these kids are fricking up my saturday football schedule

to top it off the wife is going this week with friends for one of their birthday while me and the other dads have to coach all days. total horse shite lol.

i will prolly be catching up on sunday too cause of that. :banghead: :banghead:

If not us, who? Not sure how helpful y'alls community is, but you can't get anyone to more than the absolute minimum around here.

Lol. Man do I feel this. I had my kids by myself last weekend due to a family trip for my wife.

Awesome!

I just finished squats. Partied with Pennywise. It was brutal, and I made myself use my belt for the last set. 370 x 7 x 3

About to do bench. Gonna see how those first 5 reps go to determine who I'm gonna party with.

I’ll probably use 95 or 115. You’ll be going fast so you’ll get more out of a lighter weight to start bc it’ll get spicy quick.

ETA: Oh this is gonna be tough. Definitely highest weight I’ve squatted for more than 3 reps and we’re supposed to go 3x7?!! Whew

ETA2: is anyone else’s abs sore from yesterdays workout? Really feeling it during bench press.

Well I got bad news for anyone that was looking forward to IT part 3. Ain’t gonna happen cause I just murdered Pennywise.

Wasn’t able to squat 83% for one set of 7 reps last year. Nailed all three sets at 260. Probably could have repped a couple more but wanted to save some chili for bench.

Bench was a bit heavier at 275. First set was actually a struggle, didn’t warm up enough. Second set was groovy. Third set, 2Pac Ambitionz came on as I was setting up and I was feeling like a BMF and decided to go AMRAP. Knocked out 10 reps which I think is a new 10 rep PR. On the last damn set.

At no point in today’s workout did my legs feel “fresh” or “strong”, but I still partied with Pennywise on squats.

I feel like this is a milestone lift for me; had to quit lifting legs and back in May for a lower back issue and today knocked out 3x7 back close to a 300lb 1rm.

Bench was easier to knock out 7x3 at 205. Plenty left in the tank.

Looking forward to the back and bicep supersets tomorrow!
