Right shoulder. Tweaked it doing Arnold press. Have stayed off shoulders and any heavy weight on it for a couple of months now but I can still feel lit when I do external rotations or lift stuff around the house. Chest day never hurts it. It’s not torn but I can just feel it’s there and it’s making me stay off some normal exercises.
Are there any meds or tricks to heal it other than staying off it for as long as it takes?

My shoulders fricked up too. I had a steroid Injection last year and it worked great but the pains back. I’m considering BPC157 to see if it’ll help.

Anyone of yall ever tried? Recommend?

I had some rotator cuff issues earlier this year. Did 2 sessions of PT to get some exercises for at home and it healed up in a few months and I’m back to normal. You can probably find some stuff to do online without PT, but I’d get some bands and do some light work with them a few times per week doing rotations and things like that

I'm in the same boat. Actually took a week off of lifting last week and going real light this week. My pain is on the lateral side of the deltoid at the top.

Incline bench messes with my left shoulder. I used a lot of these to stretch it and they helped.

This is what I was looking for. I saw an advertisement for a device that looks like a jump rope handle with a ball on the end and you spin it. Was wildly overpriced though.

Crossover Symmetry helped me. Have had a torn labrum for almost 8 years now and have learned to work around it.

My right shoulder is all messed up.

The one constant is incline barbell bench press is painful. I've basically stopped doing it.

I go through periods where I am fine military pressing and doing lateral raises, but sometimes those hurt as well. I'm almost always fine doing flat barbell bench press.

Same here. Other pressing exercises feel ok, maybe some discomfort on heavy days, but Incline barbell just kills my left shoulder. I just don’t do it anymore.

I have a partial tear in my labrum that no matter how long I laid off, the pain would come back as soon as I started swimming again. The ortho that diagnosed the partial tear gave me PENNSAID® 2% (diclofenac sodium topical solution) which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory cream you apply to the shoulder. It knocked the inflammation out so I could start swimming again without pain. I buy the over the counter 1% solution now and just apply it twice in 30 minutes whenever I get a flare up.

I've been using the same voltaren ointment and I do feel it's perfect for the shoulder area.

where does it hurt specifically? what actions hurt it the most? does it hurt if you try to put your hand behind you back?

the shoulder is pretty complicated and it could be one of many different muscles/tendons.

probably wouldnt hurt to check out and get a course of oral steroids and light therapy rehab work at home.

Ah the Arnold Press..

Just today I was telling a coworker that I didn’t do these because of the rotation of the shoulder joint while lifting weight overhead. Too risky for injury.

As the previous poster stated, the shoulder is a complicated joint. There’s a long list of potential problems/injuries.

Light weight (very light for shoulder specific), avoid overhead pressing, do exercises specific for the rotator cuff. If any exercise/movement causes pain, immediately stop. Anti-inflammatory meds (oral or topical) could help.

If you go the steroid route, consider oral or muscular injection before joint injection. With every steroid injected directly into the joint, you start to degrade the very joint you’re trying to “heal”.

Left one is jacked up

So been avoiding any lifting with it and only doing legs/abs/cardio these days to help it rest

I dislocated my shoulder and broke my collarbone in 2006. Arm was practically sitting on my hip before they popped it back into place.

Have had issues with shoulder presses ever since. Doesn't affect chest exercises either.

My advice would be to just drop the weight and ramp up the reps. It has worked for me.

One thing to watch out for is pushing too much weight where your other shoulder starts to compensate for the loss of strength in the other one. Caused me to slip a disk in my neck a couple times. Now that fricking sucks.
