I refuse to believe that anyone can have this many shitty takes in life.

Serious question - are you on the spectrum?

Saving himself from being embarrassed by not making the cut going against the lowest tier tour players. All of the top tier guys are at the Open.

Wrong. He’s always been hyper aware he’s not good enough and has said it explicitly many times.

He proves it, if you look at their “make the cut” series.

There’s nothing wrong with being good, but not great at golf. He’s aware of how he stacks up against pros, and the thing is, he can get there. His game is better now than 3 years ago and he can test himself in an Americas Tour or similar event. He should, it’s good for your game to test it occasionally.

Until then, he’s apparently enjoying what he’s doing, and there’s a lot of guys out there trying to produce some interesting content to view and it doesn’t hurt anyone a bit NOT to watch it and some of it is pretty entertaining.

I know I’ll be watching good good’s 7/25 video, apparently they made another ace.

Getting paid by the downvote is the only thing that makes sense.

He was asked in an interview 2-3 weeks ago, hooked up to a lie detector, if he thinks he can make a cut on the PGA Tour. He said yes. He did not get buzzed for lying. Maybe he’s not as aware as you think

Welcome to pride's post history on the golf board. He's keeping a rolling weekly TV ratings thread to prove to the posters on this board that LIV's rating aren't as good.

I think this thread is pretty pointless, but someone has to check Jim to balance things out.

Don’t mind him. He had no issue with weekly updates from himself and others when LIV was “winning”

I mean, I think he could make a cut. Doesn't mean he can do it regularly enough to make it worth giving it a shot as a lifestyle when he's already making money off his content and companies. I just tend to agree that what's the point of going play that tournament if not for exposure. And also, his only videos I tend to watch are not about him. It's about who he's playing with. Even when he's playing with Mickelson, I'm watching because he's playing with him and I want to see them get beat, haha.

He would get a ton of exposure

I agree with this, but why make it seem like he is surprised the PGA Tour won’t allow his camera crew?

LIV is absolutely going to offer him a spot in some tourney where he can film.

I’m sure they will. And it will floppy flop like the Anthony Kim ordeal

And it’s kinda obvious with anyone with a brain this is likely all already planned with Grant(and Phil) with liv. But instead this site is the only place pretending ol Grant is jsut giving an honest aw shucks reason why he had to turn down the invite

Separately :

This is an honest question, what is there to show on his channel from tournament play that is missing from just watching the actual coverage?

We already have featured group coverages from pretty much every tournament which is exactly that.

You realize the PGA Tour just offered him a spot right? Would that have made this tournament a joke if he accepted?

Meh, tournament exemption for a low tiered tournament during a majors week. I think he should have been grateful and accepted the invite and not try to make it seem like he is surprised the PGA wouldn’t let him film his round.

Well he just shot +6 over two days at Royal Portrush. How much harder of a setup would the Barracuda Championship be than a links course in Ireland? Not saying he would make the cut, but he isn't terrible either.

Possibly, but wouldn't it be FOX who currently has the LIV media rights call?
