Burger Tyme in Lafayette comes to mind because they had great burgers. The Cajun Blaze was the GOAT..

Don't forget the Bon Temps Poulet chicken sandwich, it was also the GOAT. Seasoned fries to go with it all, yes Burger Tyme was GREAT.

Le Ruth's is the best restaurant I have ever been to in New Orleans that ain't dere no more. The OP mentioned La Riviera. That restaurant used to have the best versions in town of two dishes that I would get every time, crabmeat ravioli and osso bucco. Neither of those are coming back because the chefs/owners are deceased.

He did a bunch of work with no permit so it will be awhile.

Christians in Mid City. That filet stuffed with oysters was amazing.

Bonaparte's Fried Chicken for old times sake.

The Village. Ms. Fannies. Not the Stabler knock offs.

Jack Sabins.

Tom Fitzmorris's list of extinct restaurants is imperfect, but has a lot there.

Kolbs and Fitzgerald's are my top two I did not go to that I wish I'd have a chance today.

Wrap and Roll. Never great, but I liked the idea better than other drive they'd.

Cafe Rani. Also not amazing, but was perfect for what it was as as a neighborhood salad joint that went beyond wedges and chicken Caesars.

Sazerac Restaurant only for nostalgia of the sculpted ice swans that had a cutout on tail for a small bowl of sorbet.

Sidmars, also for childhood nostalgia.

So many, but one that hasn't been mentioned is Castillo's on Conti. Best Mexican I've ever had.

It may be revisionist history, but panchos must have been poorly run because we went a ton as a kid and it was always packed

I can remember going in high school and it still being a long line.

I guess the margins were so slim with the cheap prices. I found one a few years back and went for the hell of it and was surprised how decent it was

Prytania on coursey by Jones Creek.

They were phenomenal burgers before it burger places came along.
Also had large steak fries that just don't get enough play anymore.

Anyone remember Bonanza?

We use to go to the one in lake Charles every week after church

You would walk through the line and order. Had the awesome salad bar and ice cream bar

Have read about Kolb's also. I love German food and would like to have seen their take on German-Creole Fusion.

My ancestors are Fabachers that owned Jax Brewery. I understand the Fabacher family had a restaurant on Chartres Street, but haven't been able to locate, where it was. Maybe Mr. Fitzmorris could oblige assistance.

I would've like to have seen the opulence that was La Louisiane, located on Iberville, behind Felix's Oyster House. I've read that when Diamond Jim Moran owned it, he would occasionally slip a diamond in someone's dinner.
