ROTFL. Deloitte has 10's of thousands of full time employees in India. They work for 1/4 or a 1/5 of your salary. And they know how to write code, they understand data analytics, they know how to use API's to automate information exchange between applications, databases, on and on and on. Many companies can vet huge numbers of transactions. How do you think banks catch credit card fraud? 25mil from LSU is not gonna overwhelm anybody.
TLDR: Deloitte India will kindly do the needful
Wasn’t Tyler Shelvin a high 4-Star, and at times 5-star throughout his recruiting process?

A friend of mine reminded me that when Nick Saban came to LSU he sent a jet back to Michigan State and not one staff member came. That turned out pretty well if I remember
I’m having deja vu - remember when these same posts were made after Kelly was hired and only a handful of ancillary guys came with him?

Well They just broke the sound barrier. They are developing the plane to be able to travel supersonic over land and then ramp up speed over water. Pretty smart people working on this and they’ve got a ton of interest from airlines.
They didn’t break the sound barrier with an aircraft similar to the one being promised.
They were originally partnered with Rolls Royce on developing the engines, until Rolls Royce ended the partnership. So now this start-up company is trying to develop the engines from the ground up, without the participation of an established engine manufacturer, and the engines have to be capable of reliable and efficient supersonic travel, without excessive costs or maintenance demands.
Unfortunately, it is unlikely that they are going to be able to follow through with anything close to the promised aircraft.

There will likely not be any practical version of this aircraft.

This season (and team) has been very disappointing, but they were able to pull this one out and keep the team from bottoming out. Shows character. Really nice to see the team celebrating after a really rough stretch on and off the field.

Kelly had taken ND to the BCS Championship Game. He had taken them to the CFP in 2018, again in 2020, and had ND 11-1 with an outside chance of returning to the CFP for the second straight year (3rd time overall) at the time the accepted the LSU. Given guys like Smart, Saban and Dabo at the time weren't going to leave for LSU, there were only two other guys, Riley and Kelly, in the prior 5 years who had such success. By all accounts Riley chose USC. That left Kelly. If in December of 2021 LSU had hired Dan Lanning and LSU fans found out Kelly wanted the job, but was passed over, this board would have gone apoplectic. LSU hired Georgia's DC who had never been a HC when they could have had a guy who was 44-6 over the last 4 years with two CFP appearances!!!!!
Not just that, he was the Co-DC and less experienced than Schumann.

Great to watch some baseball after the absurdity of the last 12 days.
Football is in disappointing disarray. Basketball program has imploded under scandal. Baseball is creating a dynasty and full of excitement.
It’s like the late ‘90s all over again.

Definitely not. I'm looking for quintessential French food, preferably in some kind of interesting setting. Not a fan of modern, minimalist interiors. Thank you for the suggestions! Several of these are on my short list.
Based on your description, look into Poulette.

I’m surprised that they made it to a World Series.

The owner is from New Orleans, lived here all her life. Still lives in the same home. Didn’t earn the money so the money doesn’t move her. I laugh every time I see these comments
Counterpoint:
Owner inherits team from deceased husband. Owner hires a GM that is long past his prime, and an unqualified coach that should be coaching in a developmental league. The team’s veteran talent includes an oft-injured team leader and a chucker with no control. Also a veteran role-player from the Caribbean.
This is Major League, but if the team still sucked. She’s trying to move the team to Miami.

Yea didn’t he have a losing record before Pavia got there?
9-27 with 2 SEC wins.

It does seem like Coach Kelly approached the LSU job like a manager. Put assistants under him and let them handle the individual players. I think you have to be a little more personal with the players if you want their respect. I know Jay Johnson is not like that.
Agreed. I just get the sense that he saw his role as being different than it really needed to be. Come in, put the right systems in place, get the right assistants hired, and get the machine running properly. Treat the players like men, hold them to discipline standards, and performance will follow.
Frankly it could’ve worked in its own way, if he was able to properly identify and manage his coordinators. If there is a competent defense in 2023, and a playoff appearance and/or playoff run, he buys a lot of runway and there is less of an audience for the personal criticism.

I doubt Jay Johnson is going to leave LSU b/c Scott Woodward isn't there.
It is definitely more likely that he would consider taking more money and promises of resources elsewhere, given that the university’s athletics leadership structure (President, AD) is being systematically chased off by the governor, who is also turning athletics spending into a political issue.

somebody put a stat up at some point last year that Jaxson Hayes played more games as pelican than Zion and he'd been gone years. Not sure if that still true, but its astounding
It’s still true per Basketball Reference. Hayes logged 241 games with the Pelicans, Zion has logged 216. There is a reasonable chance that Zion plays 25 more games to pass him up this year.
Also noteworthy - Zion is 6 games from passing Alexis Ajinca’s 222 games played with the Pelicans.
There is a reason why both the Saints and the Pelicans are possibly the worst teams and probably the least hopeful franchises in their respective leagues. It is nice to be hopeful about young talent like Fears and Queen, or the mirage of Zion Williamson playing the majority of the season’s games, but the writing was on the wall when Joe Dumars was hired to run the show. The people making decisions in the ownership group are not serious people. There is no hope until these teams are sold.

No Clark Lea? Also worked under Kelly. Coukd go the Gerry DiNardo route again. His teams remind me of Elko’s. Hard nosed and well coached.
Look up his record without Pavia at QB. 9-27 in three years with 2 SEC wins, 2-10 (0-8) in Year 3. We’ve seen first-hand how outstanding QBs can make mediocre coaches shine (Favre with Hallman, Burrow with Coach O, Daniels with Kelly).
