I'd also like to see a KFC open in South Baton Rouge.

Yep.
I used to love riding my bike out there and playing/watching volleyball then going to eat/drink and check out the talent at those places.

There is a Fast Track inside the Shell truck stop on hwy 70 in Convent/ Sorrento. Theres also one inside Golden Grove Truck Stop in Gramercy.

To answer the original question, Id love Calendars in BR to come back. Wasnt 5star food but was well priced for good food.

Le Ruth's is the best restaurant I have ever been to in New Orleans that ain't dere no more. The OP mentioned La Riviera. That restaurant used to have the best versions in town of two dishes that I would get every time, crabmeat ravioli and osso bucco. Neither of those are coming back because the chefs/owners are deceased.

Chef Goffredo is still alive and kicking.

Stella! - New Orleans

Only if Boswell opens it up in River Ridge and charges 40% less than his FQ prices. The rent/lease costs ought to drop by that much, so it should even out for him, the wifey and the sports cars.

This time around, he'll have to pay the employees as well.

I understand the Fabacher family had a restaurant on Chartres Street, but haven't been able to locate, where it was.

It was on St. Charles near Canal. Just down from where Kolb's was.

None of these could make a comeback but it is fun to dream. My Baton Rouge response....

Pasquale's Pizza (by LSU in the 60's)
Bono's Pizza (LSU in the 70's)
Olly's Trolly
Sigmunds Delicatessen
Mike and Tony's
Europe's
Leon's Italian Kithchen

And an upvote to others who included...
Shakey's Pizza
Cotton Club
The Village (circa Ms Fanny)
Jack Sabans (when Joe was on top of things)
The Place
Bob and Jake's
