Which of the three Lagasse restaraunts in NO is the one to go to?

First of all I am hyperaware that there are likely better options for dinner in NOLA. We are passing through on the way to vacation and I have a 12 year old who loves to watch cooking shows and is intrigued by Lagasse. That's where she wants dinner but I am curious which of the three is the preferred location for locals. We have viewed the menus and are intrigued by all 3. Any suggestions are welcome and if the 3 are comparable and it doesn't matter that is fine too. Dinner not lunch. Many thanks!

I like the atmosphere at Emerils.

Its Emeril's by a long shot. And I'd put Emeril's up against just about any other restaurant in the city. It really is a fantastic restaurant, well run from the top to bottom. The food may be a touch dated, but the menu and especially the specials have some awesome things.

I like Nola. I find it feels a little more laid back than Emeril's. So I guess it depends on the atmosphere you are looking for.
Both are good options.
I can not personally comment on Delmonico, although I have generally seen it ranked last of the 3.

Emeril's.
Also, they have an open kitchen and your 12 year old will be able to watch the kitchen staff work. Food is top shelf.

Is Emeril's the one with the elevator in the middle and upstairs dining too? We ate there on a trip a few years ago and it was great.

Emeril's for the 12 year old. Delmonico for a date night.

Emeril's is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. For your 12 year old, I'd consider suggesting the andouille crusted redfish with shoestring potatoes. One of my favorite dishes and along the lines of his cooking shows in types of food. It has a lot of flavor. The bbq shrimp app is in the cookbook and your child might enjoy having that as an app. I love the smoked mushroom pasta app which originated at Commander's. Easy to make at home similar to the one served.
I love Delmonico and put it on your list for another day. Emeril's is the one to try first.
I haven't been to Nola in years, but Otis enjoys it. I don't think it's the one of the three to go to, though, for your child's purposes.
Emeril's is always packed, so call for reservations soon. We ate at the chef's table in the kitchen several times and that would be a treat for your son. The chef feeds you and you can watch all the cooking first hand. You can ask if that's available. It's a LOT of food. I think we had 5 or 7 courses and more desserts than any human could even begin to eat. There are also seats at the kitchen bar where you can see some things, though I haven't sat there.
You can also ask for a copy of the menu and ask that the chef sign it. Probably won't be Emeril unless he happens to be there which isn't too often, I don't think, but still fun for your child. Most places will do that without blinking.
Have fun and report back wherever you end up.

Appreciate all of the advice. Arse, the one thing she doesn't like is banana desserts...I however, will take your suggestion for dessert. Thanks again and I will report back in a week or two.

Emeril's
NOLA
Delmonico
Emeril's is outstanding. NOLA is very good. Delmonico is very good, but not an excellent location and a bit stuffy.
