Good. Don’t want my usual places getting overrun.

I mean, it’s not the worst list. Can tell some thought went into it. Most lists like these contain tourist traps like Mothers or crappy places off Bourbon.

Because when visitors come to New Orleans, those are clearly the top 2 cuisines that come to mind.

That list, much like the NFL, has an agenda.

I’ve honestly heard of 11 of those restaurants.

And one of them is the Childrens Museum which isn’t a ‘restaurant’.

There isn’t ONE single restaurant in all of New Orleans that I would recommend to a visitor that’s on that list.

The article is eat and visit, fyi.

Still not a great list, but at least it makes more sense why we’ve never heard of a majority of these places.

Right, but I was only interested in the restaurant list.

Your thread title insinuated that it was all places to eat. Plus some people in this thread were taking it as only places to eat at.

I just thought it was worth mentioning is all.

The rich people aren't reading suggestions compiled by NFL twitter interns.

There’s some solid places on that list but I wouldnt say that’s an overall high quality list.

The NFL put it together to support black owned businesses. Some struggle to get their name out there. It’s fine.

So you wouldn't recommend to a visitor to go to the James Beard best new restaurant of 2024?

This list was comprised based on the NFL support of DEI. The entire LIX Super Bowl committee only used DEI while here in New Orleans. To be any sort of vendor to support this Super Bowl you had to qualify under the guides of DEI. So, this food list is made up of DEI parameters.

Lol.

You should try to get out more.

There are plenty of really good restaurants on that list, and also a bunch of obscure places as well.

Or…New Orleans is a majority black city, so not surprised to see a healthy number of black owned businesses listed. That said, there are plenty of “non-dei” businesses listed. The list is fine.
