I like Don Julio, but for a margarita I'm fine with Milagro or other less expensive options.

Don't drink, so I'll have to go with this scene from Cheers.

Bar patron: "Bartender, can we get a couple of pina coladas over here?"

Sam: "Sure thing, just let me finish making this margarita. So anyway, Margarita..."

Grand Marnier

To each their own, but I find it to be too "syrupy" with it having a cognac base. I prefer Cointreau

Reposado tequila

I don't mind reposado. I just don't think it is necessary because it doesn't add a ton to the taste as a whole. I like a margarita as a cool, fresh, drink. Not anything really "heavy". Grand Marnier combined with the slightly more "woody" reposado, to me, makes it heavier than I prefer. 2 oz of quality blanco, 1 oz of Cointreau, and 1 oz of fresh (cool) lime juice hits the spot by the pool or patio on a hot day

In a Vita Mix blender we add 1 large can of frozen lime aid, fill that empty can 3/4 full of tequila and add, fill that empty can 1/3 full of triple sec and add, add 2 trays of ice, and pulverize to a slush.

We have two different Vitamix blenders, and I never thought that I would say this but we also picked up one of the nicer margaritaville machines and it makes a better Frozen mixed drink than the Vitamix.

I don't expect everyone to have the same taste but drinks with jalapeno flavor don't do anything for me. It has a drying effect on my mouth or something. I have a high heat threshold so the spice doesn't really affect me at all. And I don't like any drinks with jalapeno flavoring.

I like a lot of tart and not a lot of sweet. I can do basically 2 oz lime, 4 oz of tequila and an ounce of cointreau. And I do like some salt in the mix.

I'm the same. I love jalapenos, but I hate the flavor in liquid form

I picked up this recipe on here. From Tommy's in San Francisco.

I haven't tried any others, because I find this to very simple, and good. I think adding a Jalapeño to spice it up could be a good thing here too.

2 ounces blanco tequila (I prefer Lalo)
1 ounce lime juice, freshly squeezed
1/2 ounce agave nectar
Garnish: salt rim

Rub the rim of a rocks glass with a lime wedge, dip the rim in salt to coat, and set aside.

Add the tequila, lime juice, and agave nectar to a shaker with ice.

Shake until well-chilled.

Strain over fresh ice into the prepared glass.
