Wrong in my case. I moved to Germany as a Bud Light drinker but living there changed my whole perception of beer.
I'll still drink Bud Light (had a couple Saturday) but it is what it is.
It isnt bad, but its pretty standard easily recreated beer

You completely missed the point I was trying to make about New Belgium.

Visited Dallas a few weeks ago and stopped at that brewery. Loved the playdate! I also tried the Easy Peasy IPA and that was pretty awesome too

DDH Fallen Flag IPA from Narrow Gauge Brewing is my favorite of the shite ton of IPA's I have drunk the last 3-years, the May batch was perfect. Cherry Street is putting out some really nice beer, Stepping Razor IPA is consistently well above fray. I do like TRIMTAB 006 IPA, too. And the one off Untitled Art Strawberry Milkshake IPA last summer was great. I'm on the verge of giving up beer for awhile, time to take a break.

Impossible to choose a single favorite but some of my favorites are Westvleteren 12, Cantillion Gueze, Jester King RU-55 and all sorts of IPAs....although I don't care for Voodoo Ranger and havent had the Hazy version. Lately I have been drinking Tupps DDHIPA, Manhattan Half Life Hazy IPA and Celestial Double Stars hazy DIPA.

Stone IPA, Sierra Nevada's Torpedo and Allagash White. I can't pick just one.

USA wipes the floor with Germany when it comes to Beer
Posted on 6/25/19 at 3:28 pm to lsupride87
I didn't live in Germany last year. The US has done a lot of catching up since then. In the post you replied to I sated that living in Germany changed my perspective of beer. At the time I first moved there it would laughable to claim the US "wipes the floor with Germany when it comes to beer". I still think that statement is too strong today.

Naw, I like German ok and I've been drinking a lot of Hefes lately. But they just don't innovate the way the US brewers do. If you like a variety of different styles done at a world class level, the US is the place to be. Hell, the US has resurrected several belgian styles and the german Gose and Berliner Weises. I'm not sure you can even find a Gose or Berliner Weisse in Germany.
