Amber and Turbodog are the 2 I like best. I love Guinness, so that may explain my liking for Turbodog.

I forgot about the Restoration Pale Ale. That was some good stuff.

Thread got me checking out their website for the first time in years. Anyone try this yet? Never seen it before.

I still have a soft spot in my heart for Purple Haze and Turbodog, since they were staples for me during my college days in the mid to late 90s. And it really is hard to top a Strawberry lager paired with boiled crawfish. Andygator is better than decent, and the Lounging Iguanas isn't terrible.
The rest is just kind of meh. It's fine as long as you know it's not going to blow you away.
They need to bring back that 25th Anniversary Vanilla Doubledog.

Oh snap, good one. Left that off the OG list.

For a while Abita was resistant to put out a hazy offering, or really divert from their base lineup. They finally came around eventually. They have good decent experimental brews at the Tap Room... they current have a NEIPA (Cryo) that is very strong.
Their tap room is rarely over-crowded but it's a pleasant place to be since they've upgraded their tasting room and gift shop.

When i was first starting out in craft beer, i had Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Lazy Magnolia Southern Pecan, Sam Adams winter lager, and Abita Vanilla doubledog in my fridge (depending on the season).

Sam Adams still makes really good beer. I’m wondering if people are going back to them given that the craft beer emergence is well past saturation point. I mean, there’s only so many new breweries and beers you’re able to try.

They make a couple good ones but the vast majority of their stuff is overwhelmingly mediocre.

Purple Haze and the Strawberry are solid IMO.

Fresh Andygator on tap is nectar of the gods......
AS most have said, Turbodog is good and has weathered the test of time. Strawberry seasonal is one of the better fruit flavored seasonal.

Anita strawberry was shite compared to Covington Strawberry, but I don’t think Covington brewery is around anymore.

I wasn’t gonna say anything at first. But this is redundant. Can’t help myself.

It’s just fine. Consistently good. Very underrated.

I really like Andy Gator and can still get it here in Colorado. Restoration and Mardi Gras were good as well, but can’t ever find them.
