Covington Strawberry was GOAT on draft, but tasted like crap out of the bottle.

Cheez Whiz has been around since 1953 (59 years). Is it because it's good cheese?

Andygator FTW. The rest suck for the most part.

This board is full of snobs who think they are too good for Abita but it’s solid. Don’t love everything they have but there staples are good beers

abita is the best LA beer

I don’t care for Purple Haze but some of the others are good

ga mpdph. I seldom drink beer anymore. You only get to drink 50,000, then you die. I am at 49,253 now. I would have an Abita with you, and like it.

Abita offers a solid lineup outside of IPAs. Nothing wrong with that. Their Amber, Andygator, Turbodog and Purple Haze are all solid.

Sounds like the amber and andygator and purple haze are good?
The bock was fine. I wont get it over St Arnold's or whatever but it was decent enough

Kinda scanned the thread so might've missed it.
I've seen the Mardi Gras showing up in stores here in Foley/Gulf Shores last coupla days.
Nice packaging, will try this weekend...

Yep. The original Jockamo was one of the worst beers brewed in the USA and maybe the worst IPA if Indian Wells' Amnesia IPA is not in the race. There are countless people who tried a Jockamo and decided that they "didn't like IPAs".
Most likely by people who didn’t know the difference between a West Coast And a New England IPA.
It wasn’t that bad IMO.

I enjoyed the old oyster stout and vanilla DoubleDog (think that was name).
One of the best fruited beers I've had was the Belgian golden strong ale they made with mayhaw berries, but it was seasonal and may have only been available one year.
I had a few of the AlphaGator IPAs when at Chimes when I was in Baton Rouge for Thanksgiving and enjoyed it.
With that said, the consensus is correct and the majority of their stuff is meh. I'm somewhat surprised to see them stay afloat in the Texas market with all of the competition.

Same here.
I drink very little beer now, but when I do with poor boy or seafood
I get Abita Amber draft.
