Everyone knows that baking it yourself is the way to go but if you buy a brand from the store to bring home, what is it?

The ones baked in whatever store I'm in. Rouses' are typically pretty good. The nationally packaged brand stuff is mostly awful, although I won't turn down an oreo.

We buy Oreo's pretty regularly. Only brand cookies we buy.
I like the Heath bar cookies from the Publix bakery, but don't buy they very often.

I don't complain when the crappy Jason's deli work lunch comes with a cookie.

The St Michel brand salted butter cookies or shortbreads, sold at World Market and Costco. Excellent and made with salted French butter.
Arnott’s Tim Tams, from Australia. Light, crunchy chocolate biscuit, layered with chocolate cream, covered in chocolate
Trader Joe’s triple ginger snaps
The Dare brand maple leaf shaped sandwich cookies, with maple filling
(You’d think that Inever bake anything by looking at that list, but I do. Guess we just like cookies)

Hardly ever buy store bought cookies, but when I do it's usually Chips Ahoy Chocolate Chip or Oreos.
I make a better chocolate chip cookie than Chips Ahoy but sometimes I just don't feel like cranking on the oven.
My wife will sometimes buy those small bags of Milano cookies that she likes.

Oreos (golden or regular)
Rouses bakery cookies are legit
Albertsons bakery makes an oatmeal raisin cookie that’ll change your life.
Subway chocolate chip cookies are decent
Chic fil a chocolate chip cookies are excellent

Local AG’s stores (Carter’s & Oak Point) both bake Almond Joy Cookies
They are really good
ETA
Jacks Vanilla Wafers are the only packaged cookies I buy

Pecan Sandies are the reason that I don't buy cookies. I can destroy half a bag before I realize what happened!

Oreos, Nutter Butter, and Keebler Deluxe Grahams would be my store-bought favorites. Oh, and the chocolate-coconut crisps from Costco.
Samoa’s from the Girl Scouts are awesome, but they changed the name and I haven’t bought any recently.
No store-bought chocolate chip or oatmeal cookies can compete with my wife’s brown butter-sea salt chocolate chip or her mom’s oatmeal.

I am of the opinion that the cashew sandies are superior to the pecan sandies.
