Don’t know anything about it.

I’m pretty sure he’s been drinking woodford reserve $55

I saw Whistlepig 10 year $85

Or Whistlerpig 12 year $130

I’m willing to step up in price at all levels if the value is there.

Thank you

After dinner or late night sipping

Willet and High West make some good stuff. Willet uses its own juice now and I think High West may be all in or close to it now as well.

I’ve knocked out a bottle of the 10yr Whistle pig and it’s pretty good. They buy all of their juice though. I think Michters is now doing their own as well, but I haven’t had it.

I’d try to find a whistle pig store pick. I know oak point has some right now, and I’m sure some other places around BR do

I was given a bottle of this last week. I like it, but not as much as the much cheaper Knob Creek.

Do not buy Whistlepig. It has its fans, but most people believe it's not that good and especially not for its hefty price tag.

These are two excellent options, as is the Michters.

Do not sleep on Pikesville though. This might be my favorite in of all the ones mentioned, and it is $40-45

Wild Turkey Rare Breed Rye is a nice one in addition to the others mentioned here.

Sagamore would be a great option. Some store picks floating around the area right now. Or you could go with the cask strength.

My go-to for the past 3-4 years. Smooth sipper with deep rich flavor.

Agree with these - pass on the WP and buy them a bottle each of these.

One of the best ryes I've had is a Barrell rye store pick form Oak Point. It's about $90. I believe they still have some

If you go this route try and find a store pick. They are done at barrel proof instead of proofed down and are much bigger flavor for about the same price.

Be aware that this is a finished rye, so make sure they enjoy finished before you pull this trigger.

Around that price point is peerless rye which is outstanding and the bottle is well done making for good gift presentation.

If you really wanna step up, River ridge I believe still has a whistle pig 15 single barrel pick it's $200+ but its a fricking incredible bottle.

For a good bit less, Sagamore is a great rye also with a cool bottle.

This is an interesting one. The port definitely gives it a different flavor, but I almost hesitate calling it a rye.
