I got hammered on here because I don't like Krystal burgers. Guess i'll just have to be a snob cause I hate that crap.

I think some of you are misunderstanding. IMO I prefer everyone to give their opinion. The food snob label comes in when people start inserting instead of saying why they don't like it or when people act like certain restaurants (chains) have no place in the dining world. I get it, some of you don't like certain places (fleur de lis, little caesars, johnny's pizza) but tell me what you don't like about it and don't try to change peoples opinions.

ETA: i have learned a lot of useful information on here regarding cooking techniques, recipes, equipment. I love those threads and more power to yall for being discerning consumers, but the problems really start in the "best ___ in BR" threads

Who here actually likes Krystal burgers? I'd sooner eat a barrel cactus covered in goat shite than Krystal or White Castle.

I dont see how somebody giving a critical opinion on this board is worse than any of the pimple faced dorks on the OT giving a supermodel a 7.5 and saying that she might have a "wierd face". At least we have the chance to eat the food that we critique. Some of those guys might piss themselves if a female ever spoke to them.

Apparently, the act of critiquing elements of one's cooking or dining out means you are a food snob.

I'd say that thread is aimed more at the prevalent attitude here that there's only one correct answer. People have different tastes and are in different phases of their lives. To the college student living on Ramen and saltines all week, Chili's probably seems high quality.

This is preposterous. Now back to my caviar (which is LA paddlefish by the way)

This is how i took the intent of the thread as well. Ive seen people here comment similar to " _____ is not good because it wasnt made by Chef________ and ________ restaurant."

but like i said movie people are far worse because if you dont like movies they love you are an idiot.
