Yep, they have owned a warehouse for years that had plenty of office space. Bold move, but it's definitely a big FU to the not so smart landlords. Who is going to take that space over and pay 5X the rent??

I ate at Iris a few months back. It was really good. The chef used to cook in Nola years back. Very nice guy, Kelly English.

I recognize that soup fromt the OP. Definitely from Tableau. It's very tasty there. Been on the menu since day one.

Had a great meal at Vetri the last time I was out there. Great views of the whole strip. Request a window. Dont miss the oysters and the gnudi. They were excellent.

How do you feel about chicken salad?
The guide on my TV says otherwise. I have Hulu live TV. I guess I'm screwed?

Had a very mediocre meal at Ad Hoc last time I was there. Make sure to grab breakfast at Bouchon bakery though if in the Yountville area.

Can't recommend Press enough. Always a really great meal. It will be a tasting menu, but they do a fantastic job.

Gott's is legendary.

Had a solid meal at Brix a few years ago. Steak Frites and Short Rib were excellent. Solid burger too.

V. Sattui Winery is an awesome place to get an outdoor lunch with a market that you can buy some good cheese, a baguette, some cured meats, and a bottle of wine and just sit at a picnic table.
Where can you find the boudin by Jamison?

Same shite tonight. Jonas just sits and Larry takes all the minutes. Big win but still seems like a bad decision

Is Jonas Injured?

Went to the game tonight so didn't catch any commentary. Jonas sat way more than normal for Larry. Did I miss something or did Willy just Willy?
Quick question:
Anyone here know what the average profit margin % is for the type of restaurants described here?
Admittedly, I'm from NOLA and don't get to BR for brunch too often, but I recently dined at Rouj for brunch and the experience was great. Food, service, management all were very good. Was a pretty interesting menu as well, not just the same ol' eggs and hollandaise. I actually had the Pork Schnitzel and it was great.

Would definitely recommend

Bally's vs NBA League Pass

Posted by EMILIO on 10/19/22 at 8:16 am
Looks like Bally's id about $20 per month and that the lower level of NBA LP is $14.99. Is there any difference? They have a one team option on LP but it seems like most people are getting the Bally's subscription. Anybody have any experience here?
I'd also recommend checking out Danny & Bonnie's on Belle Chasse Hwy. Usually good prices and always good quality crawfish. The people there are always accommodating, and I usually only give 12-24 hours notice. Never a problem.

Damn where did you hear that?

From the owner Paul Marciante. They are no longer going to be able to share the space that they have been in with JV foods. Decided to pull the trigger on retirement. Could possibly sell the brand though.

I keep reading that it's good. I need to go check it out. Was using Marciante's (Kenner) but they are now going out of business. Sucks.

Best Italian Sausage in LA

Posted by EMILIO on 12/10/21 at 3:37 pm
Who sells the best Italian sausage in the state? Closer to NOLA is better. Being able to buy in bulk is preferred. Open to both mild and spicy suggestions. Trying to do some research. TIA

Utah/Park City Skiing

Posted by EMILIO on 12/23/19 at 8:02 pm
Family and I have been going to Breckinridge for the last 7-8 years and are looking for a change. Considering trying Utah this year. I know nothing about the place though. Anybody have any rec's as far as a place to stay or ski? Looking for at least a 3 br and close to a lift. Kids need a ski school as well. Thanks in advance!
