Same shite tonight. Jonas just sits and Larry takes all the minutes. Big win but still seems like a bad decision ...

Is Jonas Injured?

Posted by EMILIO on 3/26/24 at 10:31 pm
Went to the game tonight so didn't catch any commentary. Jonas sat way more than normal for Larry. Did I miss something or did Willy just Willy?...
Quick question: Anyone here know what the average profit margin % is for the type of restaurants described here?...

re: Baton Rouge brunch recommendations

Posted by EMILIO on 11/27/23 at 5:15 pm
Admittedly, I'm from NOLA and don't get to BR for brunch too often, but I recently dined at Rouj for brunch and the experience was great. Food, service, management all were very good. Was a pretty interesting menu as well, not just the same ol' eggs and hollandaise. I actually had the Pork Schnitzel...

Bally's vs NBA League Pass

Posted by EMILIO on 10/19/22 at 8:16 am
Looks like Bally's id about $20 per month and that the lower level of NBA LP is $14.99. Is there any difference? They have a one team option on LP but it seems like most people are getting the Bally's subscription. Anybody have any experience here? ...
I'd also recommend checking out Danny & Bonnie's on Belle Chasse Hwy. Usually good prices and always good quality crawfish. The people there are always accommodating, and I usually only give 12-24 hours notice. Never a problem....
Damn where did you hear that?
From the owner Paul Marciante. They are no longer going to be able to share the space that they have been in with JV foods. Decided to pull the trigger on retirement. Could possibly sell the brand though....

I keep reading that it's good. I need to go check it out. Was using Marciante's (Kenner) but they are now going out of business. Sucks....

Best Italian Sausage in LA

Posted by EMILIO on 12/10/21 at 3:37 pm
Who sells the best Italian sausage in the state? Closer to NOLA is better. Being able to buy in bulk is preferred. Open to both mild and spicy suggestions. Trying to do some research. TIA ...

Utah/Park City Skiing

Posted by EMILIO on 12/23/19 at 8:02 pm
Family and I have been going to Breckinridge for the last 7-8 years and are looking for a change. Considering trying Utah this year. I know nothing about the place though. Anybody have any rec's as far as a place to stay or ski? Looking for at least a 3 br and close to a lift. Kids need a ski school...

re: Kitchen Remodel Question
What about the some buyers that would prefer the best appliance they can get instead of matching?
I've been in the restaurant business for years so this is where my head is, but it seems like it might be just me. Anyone have any experience with the Frigidaire Pro line? We looke...

re: Kitchen Remodel Question

Posted by EMILIO on 9/19/18 at 9:53 am
I've looked at a bunch of sets and some parts of the set will review well and there is always a dog in the group. "Fridge is great but dishwasher sucks", stuff like that. Just figured that it would be preferred to have all good stuff rather than brand name....

Kitchen Remodel Question

Posted by EMILIO on 9/19/18 at 9:47 am
The wife and I are beginning to plan a kitchen remodel. Looking at stainless appliances and they come in sets or sold individually. I am leaning to breaking it up and buying different appliances from different brands depending on quality/ratings. This in not a "forever" home so resale value is a con...

re: Best Places to Eat in Denver

Every year on the way to Breck, we go to Sunrise Cafe for breakfast. Green chilies all over the menu. Stuffed pablano peppers are really good too. It's kind of in the hood, but solid food. ...
Hit up the shrimp lot on the Westbank.
Agreed. Best seafood market in NOLA. If you are that close, hit up Mo's pizza right down the street....
