None of my favorite meals are from Gourmet restaurants. It's all heavy "Stick to your Bones" pig out food......

1.) Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes, turnip greens and squash with rolls & white gravy at GOODSON'S CAFE in Tomball Texas.

2.) Seafood Burger Plate with massive slice of Key Lime Pie for dessert at FLOUNDER'S on Pensacola Beach, Florida.

3.) Chili Omelette with Chocolate-Cherry Freeze at CAMELLIA GRILL in New Orleans Louisiana.

4.) Hamburger and BBQ Beef Po-Boy's, fully dressed on French, with fries and a Barq's at BEAR'S RESTAURANT in Covington, Louisiana.

5.) ALL the BBQ meats (Brisket, Sausage, Pork, etc....) and sides at LOUIE MUELLER BARBEQUE in Taylor Texas.

Honorable Mention's......

* Seafood Platter at CAPTAIN ANDERSON'S in Panama City Beach, Florida.

* Country Fried Bacon and sides at SODALAK'S ORIGINAL COUNTRY INN in Snook, Texas.

* BBQ Sampler Platter at SALT LICK in Driftwood, Texas.

* Hamburger Steak at ANGELO'S STEAK PIT in Panama City Beach, Florida

* Authentic Mexican at THE ORIGINAL MEXICAN CAFE in Galveston, Texas................

For me, this is like asking what is the best whiskey I've ever had. It's just too hard to narrow it down.

Most of my favorite dining experiences are due to the people who I'm eating with rather than just the food that I'm eating.

That and I rarely remember the exact dish I had.
The one meal that I remember being the best food from top to bottom I ever had was Tapisco in Lisbon, Portugal.

A multi course dinner at Bar Boulud in NYC, too long ago and too drunk but it lasted five hours

Redfish on the half shell at Station 6, every single time it's great.

Papillon in Aruba, the goat cheese creme brulee was so incredible

Dinner at Heirloom Kitchen in The St Laurent hotel in Asbury Park last year, drinks, service and food were incredible.
