I’ve realized I’ve always had a poverty mindset—always pinching pennies, scared to spend, and feeling like there’s never enough. It’s exhausting mentally. We live paycheck to paycheck already and can’t fathom spending freely or we’ll run out every month.

I saw a video yesterday about the abundance mindset—where you trust that money flows back when you invest in things you enjoy or believe in. This guy swears by it. Says more opportunities show itself and the money always seems to replenish itself.

Where do you find yourself between these two mindsets. Should I loosen up and risk running out of money before the end of each month? (I have side hustles but still always seems to run out)
Just had a new baby and while my son loves the new baby he is having absolute melt downs over everything. Not the show he wanted, mom has to go to the store, not the dinner he wanted, have to take a bath, not right now, time for bed, etc…

I’m having a hard time letting him have these melt downs because it’s teaching that it’s acceptable behavior but wife (no pics), is saying to excuse it and Tata him because it’s because of the new baby and he’s having a hard time adjusting.

Another melt down will have me losing my effing mind. We spank for disobedience and not listening, time outs for less serious offenses. So there is discipline but not in the area of meltdowns.

Not having a pool for the family is probably a deal killer. That would have been in the top 3 reasons for joining
Haha I’m proud to say I am not in insurance bud
Not trying to bring up the ole “which is better currently” argument but do have a few questions about each.

I’ve seen a PDF/brochure that had membership pricing based on age however I can’t find it anywhere online now. I remember the under 30 membership being super reasonable.

I’m an entrepreneur under 30 and looking to join a club for the golf but also networking with bigger fish in the Acadiana area. I live in the Broussard area. Does Le Triomphe still have a solid network of business guys or have they all gone to Oakbourne?

Amenities for my family would be a big plus too!

ETA: Bonus points if you have that document that I was referring too and/or Oakbourne membership prices

Magnesium

Wife has trouble falling asleep and when she takes magnesium and has some physical activity, she falls asleep quick.

I wake up at 4:15 and workout before work and I fall asleep quick. On weekends I have a little trouble falling asleep because I sleep in and don’t workout

Right amount of trinity?

About to start my gumbo and used too much Guidry mix last time. Can’t remember how much I did last time but it was too much.

I use 3 32oz chicken stocks
2 rotisserie chickens boiled after deboning
3-4 links of sausage

For reference
Not a bad idea. The majority of the info I’ve gotten so far from multiple avenues of market research has been land prep.

Once again this is for a mentee of mine. Not myself.

Maybe charge a mileage rate and then hourly rate once out there. My biggest concern is so many people’s hunting properties are hours away so not sure if people would be willing to pay a mileage rate because I’m sure that could get up there
Acadiana. Hard working country kid!
I’ve read all of these. This seems to be the most common.

Next question would be, what about a one stop shop of drop off your deer, duck, etc., have it cleaned and brought to the processor for you and meat delivered to you when it’s done.

While you drop off your game, leave your boat, four wheeler, etc to be cleaned inside and out?
He’s thinking about land prep as well. Doesn’t know anything about land development but filling feeders and changing batteries is easy.

Can even prep and repair stands while there
I’ll admit, I’m not an avid hunter. However I am business minded and always looking for a way to make money.

This time it’s not for me. One of my mentees is looking to fill his extra time with a side hustle. I dug deep into him to figure out what his best skill and interest were and how he could monetize.

We came to this. Repair, clean, and prep hunting equipment. Decoys, blinds, boats, side by sides, fourwheelers, etc… I told him I’d ask the wonderful folks at TD.

What in your hunting world, would you be more than willing to outsource to a very detailed guy to repair, clean, or prep your hunting weekend?

The Power of Why

Posted by BayouBengal23 on 1/14/25 at 8:49 am
Recently I discovered my why. And it has totally changed my focus, energy, and priorities. I know they have a hundred books out there on your why but I just got it. Hope you can do this too and help yourself a bit. If you think this is stupid, downvote away lol

It’s like a super power. If you have a strong “why” and can keep it at the forefront of your mind long term, you can really push your self. I’ve become a better coach, business owner, husband, dad. My physical, emotional, spiritual, mental strength has never been stronger.

Here’s how you can find your why.
What do you want?
Why is that important to you?
Why is that important to you?

Be blessed brothers!
Had 1 dog who had severe anxiety when we left. Adopted another dog and all anxiety went away. They are inseparable now.

2 was definitely easier than 1. Parents also got brothers that are inseparable.

Put some beds in the backyard and just leave them outside all day or doggy door.

Adopt 2 rescues that are used to each other. The workers will know which dogs like each other
