Just the four of us, so we went simple (doing Christmas with family Monday).
I made a wine braised pork loin with savory white grits, and a reduction of the braise drippings
I wasn’t sure about the grits, but they go damn well with the pork and gravy

Turkey breast and boneless, skinless turkey thighs off of the smoker, baked ham from the oven and I found some gumbo in the freezer. I’m full. Also cooked a pot of red beans and a couple of different types of green things, vegetables I think they’re called but I didn’t have enough room on my plate. :)

Only 6 of us and 3 were teenaged grandkids so low key, served buffet style...
Standing rib roast, with an a jus reduction of drippings, roasted garlic and onions, red wine and broth.
Roasted root veggies with butter, cranberries and honey. Green beans put up from spring garden, mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy and rolls...

Friend,
This year was a hard Christmas. I was alone and really did not feel like cooking, so I ate some sundries from the pantry. Even though they may not be fancy or look appealing, I remember to be grateful for the sustenance, my health, and a warm abode. Next year perhaps there will be laughter and stories. I do very much like reading your stories with the appetizing pictures of your Christmas spreads.
Yours,
TulaneLSU

Friend,
I'm sorry for the lonely Christmas. I do not wish that upon my worst enemies. I hope you have a blessed new year and continue to remember God's grace.
I had brisket, green beans, and baked mac and cheese. I did not capture a picture as I was busy conversing with family members

No pictures, but my MIL made me my favorite soup! She made it years ago when I visited for the first time, and I've loved it ever since.
It's more of a chowder, actually.
Shrimp, crawfish, lump crab with fresh corn and potatoes.
It is fricking delicious.
Had some wine earlier, now switching to vodka waters.

Roasted a prime rib this afternoon. It turned out great. Saved the ribs to gnaw on tomorrow.
