I’ve never realize how good Community Coffee is until now

I was never a big coffee drinker, I don’t even care for a regular cup of coffee even now. I couldn’t tell the difference between a good cup of coffee and a bad cup, they all tasted bad to me.
With that being said, I have always liked espressos, lattes, cappuccinos, etc. A couple years ago I bought a Ninja Cafe Lux. I drink a hot or iced latte everyday. Since I’ve owned it, I’ve only bought Lavazza coffee beans off Amazon.
I bought a bag of Community this week, and man, the difference is night and day.
I’m hooked, but Community whole beans are about $15 a pound, and Lavazza is about $8.50 a bound.
Any other beans I should try?

Their Cafe Special is one of the best coffees out there.

Ditto. Hot, black, & strong. Just like I like my women...

Try French Market if you like community.
Vieux Carre is my favorite and Streetcar is also good.

In younger years I rented a house in DC with a buddy and we subleased the 2 extra rooms. One summer my sister was renting and the other rented was a coffee snob girl from Seattle. My sister later realized the Seattle coffee snob had been secretly brewing her Community coffee. It’s just pleasant and drinkable, can’t blame her.

so good that my british boss in the middle east back in the day would have me smuggle community coffee with chicory in my bags on the way over.
I dont drink coffee.

We've only ever drank Community, and I ordered a bag of Lavazza yesterday. Anxious to try it.

If you are going to put cream and sugar in coffee a strong burnt flavor like community is the way to go.
I wouldn't waste a lot of money chasing flavorful quality beans if you are only picking up the strong roasted flavors and covering up the lighter ones.
Sort of akin to making old fashioneds with a top tier bourbon. Old Granddad is plentiful for that.
All of that said, 8 o'clock coffee is good for this.

I grew up in the 60's, my dad brewed a pot of Union Chicory in a percolator every morning, to say it was strong and burned is an understatement. I don't think I drank anything else until I was 15 or 16. When I had some Holiday Inn pure coffee I tasted like dishwater.
I can't drink coffee often, but it's always a strong drip C&C that you can stand a spoon in. Community is OK, but CDM or French Market is preferred.

Been a long time drinker of CDM Coffee & Chicory and it is my go-to for waking up in the a.m.
Can't believe the price of it lately. Got the 34.5 oz can yesterday and it was $20+----------------------- but that makes a lot of hot coffee and still WAY cheaper than morning visits to coffee shops.

You're right about that. We used to load the Bunn drip at the office with CDM, that beat anything you can buy froma SB's. Those Bunn machines make the best coffee, I wish we had the volume to use one at home.

I do 1 large bag community dark roast and mix it w/ CDM brick and keep it a cereal container.
Its the rich flavor of the dark roast and the flavor of the chicory.

I worked at the plant in Port Allen
The main bean in their blend is Brazilian
That’s why it’s so stout
