Heading to the Ole Miss game this weekend….whats a good place to stop at between here and Oxford? BBQ/Catfish/Steak places worth checking out?

Get off at I-12 and head over to exit 40.
Real Deal BBQ. It's on one of the roundabouts just south of the interstate.

Brando's Rest in Hazelhurst, just to the right off I-55. This would be a great lunch stop.

Jake Rips in Grenada is right by interstate. Has pretty good bbq.

I don't know what your timing looks like but two rivers steak house in canton ms is top notch but only does dinner

it’s good enough but it’s only 45 minutes into the drive north to Oxford. Like I said we eat their food since it’s 5 minutes from my house but no I wouldn’t suggest it as a place to stop for visitors
At the same exit is Punjabi Dhaba and that I would suggest
OP if you are near McComb at lunchtime the dinner bell is where I would stop

also Vines (2.0) in McComb is very popular we’ve only stopped there once and it was pretty good. Expect it to be busy at mealtimes

Never eaten there so cannot recommend by there are some catfish houses in Florence, MS along with Country Pleasin's smokehouse. Looks like they're about 15 minutes off I-55. Afterwards, you could take US49 back to I-55 and be on your way.

BTW if desperate there is one reasonable facsimile which is the lobby bathroom at the holiday inn right off 55 in Brookhaven. That one saved me many a time

vine's 2.0 in mccomb
plenty of places in the jackson metro. if you don't mind going a little out of the way check out Sacred Ground in pochahontas (about 15 min north of jackson on hwy 49). you can cut back through the woods to get back on I55N
another spot that is solid but more convenient is Pig and Pint in Fondren. much closer to the interstate. good beer selection too
