Crawford's on Staring lane has the best catfish and it's reasonably priced. They also have an AYCE option. I usually go with the fish and shrimp with 2 sides for 8.99. I can't ever finish it.

I have always found Crawfords to be my absolute #1 catfish place. All pieces have the "brown stuff" trimmed off, not over seasoned and have never had a fishy tasting piece.

I enjoy cold crispy fried fish. Also like it in a salad. I reheat fish all the time, but I do a quick refry. Drop it in and take it out quickly. Doesn't overcook, but heats and crisps it just fine.

I like Spahrs. Been a long time since I’ve had the opportunity to eat there, though. Last time I stopped in was last summer on the way down to Grand Isle to grab the wife a Bloody Mary for the road.
Also been about 8-9 years, but Blind Tiger in Shreveport had some damn good fried catfish.

My favorite place to eat thin fried catfish right now it New Orleans Seafood and Hamburger Company on Clearview Parkway near the Huey P. Long Bridge.
I tired it once at the westbank location and it wasn't very good there. There is also a location on Vets in Metairie but I haven't gotten it there. The Clearview location is the closest to me.
My favorite use to be Middendorf's in Manchac. I hadn't eaten there in years so I stopped November 2019. The fish were nowhere near what it use to be. The gumbo was different, potato salad different and the shrimp remoulade didn't taste the same either.

Thing is the restaurant is naturally setup for a line, everyone that walks in wants to get in line and the owners call the people in the back forward to the cash register.

I lived right up the road from there. I forget what night of the week was all you can eat catfish but I've eaten myself in to a coma there many times. Awesome fish.

I freeze it then reheat in the oven. Tastes about as good as fresh.

Surprisingly the catfish at Off The Hook is as good as anywhere else. Not to thick but not to thin, crispy, good seasoning.
