But you’re right, generally, hot dogs are classified as sausage. And that’s fine by me because the sausage category covers so many types. But you do need to know that ground sausage isn’t hot dog.

I ground my meat (sausage) and then emulsified it in my food processor (hotdog), no? If I didn't do the second step and cased it would I not have brisket sausage?

It was short order with about half the seating inside and about half on the back patio.

The inside was kinda funny to me. The rooms were basically a timewarp with the decor and furniture setup

Actually ate at this table the last time there lol

Also cheese doesn't really work on a hot dog unless it also has chili on it

Cheese is great on everything, you Commie.

Is Frankie's still doing well in BR? Used to get by there every now and then, always enjoyed their dogs.

They are permanently closed. Not sure when that happened.

They sucked

This is one of my favorite hot dog places. I enjoyed it better than Portillo's

Dirty Frank's is always my first stop when I land. Last time I was there was pre-COVID. Rolled in and sat at the bar. They had the Dead Kennedys playing on the overhead. Dog and a local brew with some extra crispy tots. Worth the trip if anyone is ever there.

If you're ever in Milwaukee, go to Vanguard. Expansive menu of different hot dog and sausage styles. As you may expect, sausages have more variety.

btw, I'm not financially affiliated with this company that also helps in the annual Greekfest for the Orthodox church.

Best spanakopita I've ever eaten.

I couldn't drink orange juice b/c it gave me ulcers, but man did I eat some hot dogs from Orange Julius in the Acadiana Mall in the early 80's.

Buddy of mine has Fat Dog in North Houston area. He is a classically trained chef and quit his job as corporate trainer for restaurant chain to open his food truck. He has been doing very good business. He is regularly at some of the breweries like B52 and Southern Star.

Frankies had a Facebook post saying they were closed until February 1st - so they will re-open unless something changed.

Oh good. The “permanently closed” thing that Google had under their name is gone also.

I was invited to eat at some hotdog place near campus, I politely declined when I asked how much a dog cost there.

bruh.

Perhaps I wasn’t clear. I wanted to get it to go. If you don’t close for 15 minutes, I think you could make a hot dog.
