yeah that was an old person restaurant. been gone probably since Katrina or shortly thereafter. had my rehearsal dinner there. That was the same family that ran Frank's Steakhouse on Freret decades ago.
True story--i know the attorneys who have an office next to where barreca's was. when they demolished it, there were about a million rats that ran out

and La Cuisine in bucktown, RIP
That was actually in western Lakeview on Harrison. but you are correct---tons of blue hair. They had a damn good weekend brunch tho
I forgot about Giorlandos---for sure a restaurant run by old people for old people. other than lunch they never seem to be open+
Fury's for sure
Peppermill had a killer breakfast too. but yeah--a mecca for the denture set.
Anytime you see stuffed mirliton on a menu, chances are it is an old person restaurant.
New Orleans' old people restaurants
Posted by midcitycid on 1/8/26 at 12:03 am
Nowadays you have to think Mr Ed's of Bucktown is an old person restaurant--its always so nice and warm!
Past old person restaurants imo include Smilie's on Jeff Hwy in Elmwood; Augie's Glass Garden, and of course, the old Sal and Sam's.
what examples do you have.

do they still have blackouts for home games? i dont think i saw one saints home game on tv during the ditka years. it was all WWL radio. Maybe if Entergy or Freeport McMoRan would swoop in and buy the remaining 12,000 tickets would the blackout be lifted.

Left sleepy NC to go chase the ring on a big stage at TX
Took some time away and then went back to where it started at NC.
Who is to say Saban won't do the same thing?

i have said it all along. Taysom is a rich man's Guido Merkins. Except Guido was the back up punter and was the holder for Benny Ricardo.

re: Does the 1987 BB Team win it all if John Williams stayed for his junior year?

That would be John "Hot Plate" Williams to distinguish him from John "Hot Rod" Williams playing 60 miles to the south.

If Sequan Barkley plays the Gints game is a loss. gave up 200 yds rushing to Carolina
