I like a Jack and Coke about once a month. No other whiskey pairs better with it IMO.
I’ll tell you what doesn’t pair well with Coke: Bulleit Bourbon. That was the only choice they had at a venue I went to about a year ago and it was awful.

Actually, yes

I have some bottles of Blanton's.
I also have these I got at a silent auction several years ago...

I am probably going to give them all as Christmas gifts this year.

The only answer is Jack and coke.
ETA: But since I am an old fart, it's Coke Zero these days.

Try it with Knob Creek. It’s very good.

Technically, it meets all the requirements of Bourbon, so you'd be wrong.
"However, the short answer is, no, Jack Daniel's is a Tennessee whiskey. The slightly longer answer is yes, because Tennessee whiskey is a subtype of bourbon that meets all of the legal requirements for the spirit, but has additional requirements specific to its production in Tennessee."

Yup, Jack meets every legal requirement to be a bourbon. They have a lot of marketing and brand power as “Tennessee Whiskey”, so they prefer to be called that.
Saying Jack is bourbon isn’t wrong though.

At one time it was my go-to drink. Jack Black, Coke and a squeeze of lemon to take the sweetness out the Coke.
No longer drink the darker liquors and now stick to vodka, gin, rum and silver tequila.

Beam + Coke Zero (can't stand the aftertaste of Diet coke)
Sub-in Beam Devil's Cut, Knob Creek, Elijah Craig -- the better the bourbon, the less Coke Zero in the mix

IS NOT A BOURBON!
Why is it not a bourbon?
The master distiller has admitted that it’s bourbon

That used to be my drink when you used to have to smuggle bourbon in to the stadium.

It’s definitely considered a bourbon

Old Charter and Coke was my grandfather's go to. Introduced me to it when I was early teens. Brings back memories.

Yep. Beam and Coke is etched in my brain.

If I'm going to do a soda, which I haven't done in years, it's going to be Sprite/7.

Bourbon and Ginger Ale for me, but your soda of choice all works the same. It's nice having that refreshing drink at times, especially in this heat.

In the last few years I have completely lost my taste for hard liquor. It's kinda a shame because I used to love a good bourbon and coke. It's also a shame because I have some VERY nice bourbon I'll probably never open or drink
Same
I'll enjoy a neat single malt every now and again and I still like a lot of gin-based drinks for some reason, but in general I'm not a liquor guy anymore. Which has some benefits, of course.
