I mean I think any LSU fan should be thrilled with this hire, but let's be honest, the kid doesn't know the DC hire yet. I wouldn't expect the HC hire to immediately change his mind and it is annoying to see attention seekers like Culotta harassing the kids instants after this is found out.

Ricks needs to do what is best for him. I'd love for the kid to stay, because he is talented and played hard when on the field, but he has to want to be at LSU. If not, then he needs to find where he wants to be.

That kid is going to who he believes will win the natty next year. The reason he came to LSU after the 19 season. Dwight will be better than him at LSU and the NFL and Dwight loves LSU!

Good luck to him, lets get players that want to play for LSU. People make choices.

Is this based on anything other than the usual Alabama/Saban fears?

I’d hate to see him end up there. Maybe he goes back out West to hang out with Lincoln Riley.

With the rules now, you can transfer anywhere one time and have immediate eligibility.

Yes, there is now the one-time transfer rule with no sitting out.

Basically could end up being free agency in college football. Going to be really interesting with these big name coaches moving between big time programs this season.

McGlothern played better than Ricks anyway... we don’t need drama queens, we need kids with heart like we did once the drama got off the field

Yep. Speaking of not being a good fit, I doubt Ricks will be in line with BK's form of discipline.

No more Eddie Martell’s.

We need Shane Falco’s.

He's had one foot out the door his entire career. That's not the type of attitude that builds a winning culture in the locker room. You need players that are bought into and trust the system. He's a great talent, but I think the team as a whole is better off without him at this point. Onward and upward!

Good. BK is going to have to thin the herd of those that aren't team oriented. Ricks definitely is all about himself.

You are replaceable Mr. Ricks. One day you will learn that lesson.
