Welfare recipients and border crossers/refugees are prime examples of why its a load of BS to say this is about health and safety. You could make everyone of those people get the vaccine as a condition of entering the country or continued benefits, but the powers that be won't do it because of what it would mean politically.

This will backfire on officials faster than they realize. You’re dealing with a citizenry where the moral compass is already waning and respect for life is at a low point. Taking out their frustrations on those they believe responsible will happen at some point. If it creates a flash point then thing may get real ugly real quick.

Everyone knows shortages, canceled flights, supply chain disruptions, workforce inefficiencies, etc., are a bad thing.
