National Geographic is showing the whole day, pre crashes to the buildings collapsing. Comprised of stories of survivors. I've seen pictures of those that jumped to their deaths, but these scenes are videos of them jumping, arms, legs flailing. But the most chilling scene is in the lobby of the second tower, firemen are grouping around, coming & going. And then there are ongoing sounds BANG, then another, BANG. 5-or 6 more loud BANGS. The firemen just freeze. It's the sounds of bodies slamming into the roof of the first
floor lobby. Those sounds come across loud & clear on the video. Another unbelievable scene, not shown thank goodness : an EMT tells of stopping his ambulance to help a lady laying half way into the street; he turns her over & her entire back has been peeled off, no skin left.Next to her was a large piece of the landing gear that had struck her.

No thanks. I can’t watch that stuff, it makes me way too sad.

It pisses me off something bad watching those videos. The jumpers are always my saddest parts to remember for some reason regarding 9/11. Desperation and certain death, which I'm sure they knew.

Horrible. I can’t imagine having the choice to either jump from a skyscraper or be burned alive.

That special was on Hulu last week and it was the first time I had seen/heard that footage. Man, it was tough to watch. I can't imagine being in that lobby.

I can only imagine the hell those people must have been in to have to decide whether or not to jump. People with families having to decide how they would die. I cant watch that stuff.

I can’t either.

Even the one with the young college girl watching from her dorm or apartment completely kills me. Just can’t do it.

That always got to me more than almost anything. Imagine being in such a terrible situation that you leap to your death from there. NEVER FORGET!

One of the fire fighters that died was killed by a jumper falling

Saw this the other day. Just straight raw footage from someone that lived near by. The video quality is insane.

I've seen so much on 9/11 over the years that nothing is new to me about it anymore. It was an insane thing to go through and I'll never forget it... rehashing it on every anniversary just gets me all pissed off.

It's especially tough watching it this year knowing that the fricking Taliban won the war.

It’s truly a “never forget” moment for our country reliving the atrocities.

frick Allah/Mohammed/whatever piece of shite those people “worship” and everyone, including some currently elected officials, who have sympathy for those cock suckers. I hope they all burn in hell for eternity and their “80 virgins” are all Bruce Jenner

Those people went into work that morning not knowing they’d be jumping from a building to their death. I can’t fathom this thought.

I was a sophomore in Hs when this happened. Young enough to be naive about the political aspect, but old enough to comprehend what was happening.

I’m a HS teacher, and my current crop of students are great kids, but they don’t have a clue when they start complaining about adversity, hatred, etc.

It's "9/11: One Day in America". Still showing now on Disney. The stories are amazing, story after story where one decision saved a life, another resulted in death. Just small details, one way or another.

This is stupid - but I can’t even watch the footage from the ground, everyone is so scared and confused and panicked - all the dust - no one knew what was going on and they were so scared - last time I watched it, I had an asthma attack/panic attack

I can’t handle it - I was thinking about the dust and how scared they were

We went to the 9/11 memorial in nyc in 2019 - my youngest was 3 at the time - when we walked by one of the towers she knelt down and put her hands together like she was praying - she has no idea what that was

I was in my 6th year as a Federal LEO. For the next decade, we some really amazing work. Once Obama replaced everybody at the top, we closed every operation and went back to pre 911 useless work. I’m glad I got to serve during those very critical years.

It won’t be long and we will get hit again in a much more devastating attack. One could make the argument that Civid 19 is that attack and we’re too stupid to realize the evil intent.
