I can’t watch any of it including the movies that were made about the events of that day.

20 years ago a nasty bunch of crazy Muslims slaughtered thousands of Americans. We saw video of Muslims in the Middle East dancing in the streets in celebration. and even then there was no real blowback against Muslims in general.

How hateful and racist could a country be if it couldn’t even muster up violence against brown skinned Muslims even after that?

I remember watching it on TV. It was horrifying. I'll never forget it as long as I live.

It's especially tough watching it this year knowing that the fricking Taliban won the war.

Why do you think Biden released his OSHA plan on 9/9?

To distract.

And, I believe the terrorists won. Look at our country now vs. 9/10/01.

I knew some gigantic piece of shite who would argue because they jumped, it was considered suicide and they were going to hell. I have never wanted to punch someone in the face more than that moment.

Probably already said but the footage with the firefighters from the ground floor of the towers is the documentary the French guys were working on. They have the video of the first plane hitting because it went over then atypically low. They just went to the towers with the fire crew they were videoing that day.

I honestly wonder if some of those jumpers knew the window was there. It had to be nearly zero visibility.

Very surreal and moving, especially having just visited the gift shop at the top of the WTC four years earlier in 1997. Thinking back as I remember walking up to the glass and looking down which always makes my stomach feel sick, I can imagine there were visitors in that same shop that day looking out and seeing a plane headed right toward them. Cannot imagine going through all of that!

Well, in the last 20 years, it has been the American white male that has become the one to hate in this country.

The gift shop was in the south tower which was hit second and wasn’t open after the first tower was hit.

I can close my eyes and still vividly see those people falling from when I watched that footage live.

There is one image of a young lady who held her skirt down while she jumped. One last show of humanness and decent as she made the ultimate choice.

I can’t imagine what they went through.

That was the last thing I saw and read in the last section of the 9/11 Museum. I was like the Seinfeld gif, enough, I’m done. Walked into the gift shop thinking they need to sell bourbon.

As a self absorbed college student when it happened, I was more vengeful than sad. It wasn’t until I happened upon a few days old memorial one night in the corner of the Boston Common for the 5th anniversary reading letters written in crayon by kids whose parents died on the flight that left Boston that I really got the personal loss aspect. When I moved to NYC and had friends who lost siblings and friends, I watched the name readings for several years as form of penance.

They have committed a few terrorist acts in America since 9/11.
