Texas and Florida are setting up monoclonal antibody therapy sites across their states. FL, TX. If you test positive for CV, regardless of vaccines status you can receive monoclonal antibody therapy free at one of the state run facilities in Texas and Florida. (Sorry if I'm leaving out any other states offering the same service as Florida and Texas.)

You can receive monoclonal antibody therapy in Louisiana but the treatment has to go through Louisiana hospitals with a very strong vaccine bias so receiving mAb therapy in Louisiana is not as easy as it is in Florida or Texas.

The really good news about mAb is it reduces hospitalizations by 70% to 85%. This is a really good approach to keeping people out of the hospital infected with COVID.

JBE should promote it more and open mAb therapy sites across the State of Louisiana.

Covid is 100% political. JBE is a Democrat. So he toes the Democratic line. Which is to push vaccines down your throat until you comply and act like therapeutics are non existent and/or only brought up by white supremacists.

JBE is a clown like the rest of his party. We have to deal with him because he's the governor and he wants to have a seat at the table long term. Whatever that is. We had a Republican governor? Yeah this would all be different. LSU game restrictions included.

Is what it is.

Nb4 "we need to see long term studies to assess the validity of this form of treatment. It is not FDA approved!"

Imagine being the National Hero to The Party and leader of one of the USA’s Health Institutes, on tv and/or the internet and even TikTok every fricking day for 18 months, and waiting until late August 2021 to realize it’s time to talk about a treatment that’s been available since November 2020.

I repeat, mAb infusions have been available since November 2020.

frick Fauci!

promote monoclonal antibodies
Promotion doesn’t seem necessary as it is a treatment provided after infection. However, to the broader point, it appears a very effective treatment from the information I have seen, so if someone is putting up barriers or not providing the greatest opportunities and access the use of the treatment, that’s problematic.

He is
Problem is they won’t do it unless you have other health conditions
Friend was denied by their Dr because she didn’t have underlying conditions & was told to find something OTC to take

I think most people are aware of mAB treatments nowadays. And they are easier to get.

Although I think Cosmo said last week that there are waiting lists in LA.

When my parents received mAB therapy, the doctor made a joke that he didn't need to ask them if they were vaccinated because he was only giving it to unvaccinated people

So, you don't want to use the antibodies that your body makes, you want to use cloned antibodies that are made in a lab.

We've gone full circle.

Should a question about 3 politicians and their politics be on a board reserved for politics?

I suppose it is one arm of the battle. I have a friend who has positive symptoms but can't get tested until later this week. So, theoretically, can't get monoclonal antibx until after a positive test.

It's all a cluster

Of course he should.

FYI, Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia, Abbeville General, Kaplan hospital are all doing these if you're in the area.

Have NO clue if you need an order or what qualifies you for it BUT these places ARE doing them.

MS is way ahead of TX and FL with antibody therapy sites. Currently there are 170 sites in the State and no doctor referral is needed. All you need is a positive covid test and meet the requirements for treatment.

JBE should start governing and attracting business and industry into the state instead of acting as our own personal mask and vaccine czar.

At some point I recall hearing that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Shouldn't JBE be promoting the shite out of the prevention part?

Oh wait. Nevermind.

You can get this in LA. I already know of a few people who have gotten it. But it’s really only if you have it already. AND you have to get it early enough after testing + or you can’t get it for some reason.

It’s not preventative fix, it’s a reactive one. And really fix is the wrong word, it only helps lessen the symptoms after you’ve already gotten sick.
