Former Houston Rockets star Chandler Parsons is high. During a segment on FanDuel TV's "Run it Back," he said that Mavs star Luka Doncic was already better than an NBA legend Larry Bird...

Even Luka would laugh at this comparison.

Everyone assumes the current player is always better than the former. People quickly forget reality. Everything now is short term memory and instant gratification.

Bird in his prime would eat his lunch

Dudes just get up on these podcasts/shows and say stupid shite. When Luka wins a ring or leads his team to multiple rings then we can have that discussion, but as of now the answer is NO. I like Luka Doncic but he's not quite on Bird's level, not yet anyway.

Larry was offended when the other team didn’t put their best defensive player on him. And he’d let them know. This isn’t just from observation but from the mouths of some great nba players back then. Larry talked trash with the best of them but he backed it up. He’d tell them what he was going to do, then he’d do it to the letter. To say some new dude I’ve never heard of is better is ridiculous.

I have most of my favorite teams' championship/playoff games that I rewatch after football season. But I didn't have the Houston Rockets 1994 or 1995 games. So I found some/most of them (1994) on Youtube and watched a couple last weekend.

The D for both the Rockets and the Knicks were like shadows...haha. I don't know how the scores weren't 50 to 49 every game. Still got more to relive this weekend!

I don’t keep up with the nba anymore so I can’t comment on him, but to say he’s better than prime Larry Bird is difficult to believe. It wasn’t so much what Larry had physically as it was what he had between his ears. There’s a huge difference. Larry’s opponents didn’t always like him, but they damn sure respected him…or they’d pay for it.
