Looks like BR proper especially LSU and Downtown will get off light if his forecast verifies. Tangi and Livingston will get hammered

I suggested this earlier, and was damn near crucified. Its about to head east and this will be a non-event for BR.

Levee wasn’t breached technically. The water is going over it.

Does anyone have a link to the site with all of the weather station maps and readings? I stumbled across it somehow back during the ice storm and someone near me had a station so I was able to track our temp, dew point, etc. I’m curious what kind of wind I’m getting right now compared to what’s expected later.

To those yelling about this earlier, yes yall had it figured out

Yeah.... It's definitely more north then current track center, according to the MyRadar app.

Guess it could wobble back west and be back on track

A few of us called this from the beginning and have been yelled at and downvoted to hell and told we don’t know what we’re talking about. It was always going east of BR.

Just lost power in Hammond.

Surprised it took so long. Usually if a bird farts on a line we loose it

Confirmed. It’s near Braithwaite.

Levee has not failed yet, but severe overtopping that is overwhelming drainage.

I'm guessing that he's intentionally not holding the microphone closer to his mouth, so we can hear him, because he's trying to feature the sound of the wind and rain for max drama? I thought holding the microphone by your mouth so people can hear was day 1 stuff for a journalist/reporter.

Here is the 5 pm CDT update for Hurricane #Ida. Ida is still an extremely dangerous category 4 hurricane with its eye very near Houma, Louisiana.
