Fairly long-time lurker here. Dallas OT-ers: What can you tell me about the camera/ mail-issue tickets from the NTTA ? I received a ticket in the mail today from when I was traveling through Dallas (10 months ago- last October!), and I guess I was in the express lane. Are these akin to BR red light cameras with no actual legal backing, or are they issued by a state entity that can issue bench warrants, etc. I’m not a poor, but $6 is $6.

TIA.

Get a tag, it takes seconds.

Edt: just read traveling. Pay it, but the issue I had before a tag was getting the notice weeks after the due date.

That’s not a ticket, that’s the fee to drive on the road. Pay it or it will turn into a headache and balloon in cost.

Call them, if you tell them you were traveling they may just waive it and tell you not to worry about it, or they'll process your payment on the phone.

They'll send you to collections and ruin your credit over $6. Just pay it.

Thanks. Will do. Mrs. Okra always freaks out on stuff like this anyway, so I guess paying it is def the way to go.

No. They are really tickets and the NTTA isn't going to let the charge slide. They use a sofisticated system of automated notice of fines if you don't just pay the buck or two online or by phone. The fees can compound and they absolutely do and will send you to collections etc.

Pay the 6.

Yeah, $6 sounds just like the toll plus maybe a processing fee. Not really a ticket per se.

It would cost much more than $6.00 for me to take the time to compose & post this message.

Pay the goddam money, you derived some benefit from the NTTA.

Right. Probably a couple of main gantry plus an exit ramp toll. Missing first notice fee will be 25.00. Second notice will increase that to 40.00 for a total of 46.00 due. No brainer to pay the 6.

I have personal experience with this. Pay it or the bill will get massive. I've heard stories of idiots paying thousands because they didn't pay.

NTTA never forgets or quits. Pay it and move on. The tags are cheap if you are planing to drive through Texas or Oklahoma
