Alabama would find a way to swap itself with Tennessee.

Texas is a Cancer to the League.....SWC, then Big 12,,every League they've been. They are not a good Conference mate.

Texas was always the top dog in SWC and for much of their time in the Big 12. They are a middle of the pack SEC team. They need the SEC more than the SEC needs them.

And Missouri, South Carolina and Kentucky aren't going anywhere. The SEC won't jeopardize the ESPN contract by reducing the league's footprint.

Screw that. Hope the SEC tells them get lost. UTx dug their own grave when they broke up the previous big 12.

Eff Texas
Eff OU
Cannot abide either school. This is their fault and maybe especially UT’s. Texas wants all the money which lead ro the fracturing of the so-called big XII.

In both the SWC and the Big 12, Texas has propped up smaller schools in exchange for conference terms that reflect the value each team brings individually.

They would not need nor ask for a similar arrangement in the SEC bc the conference pulls its own weight.

My question is why would Texas and Oklahoma leave the Big 12? They are already kings of their conference. Any change in that conference would have to go thru those schools for approval ? Each year, they are talked about competing for NC. Would they get talked up as much if fans/sports people knew they had to play Florida, Auburn, Bama, LSU on their schedule each year ??

They must be worried about something else. Like losing players in " talent rich " Texas to SEC opponents ?

It doesn't make sense too me to risk a tougher schedule w/ current SEC schools than the Iowa States, Kansas teams.

They strong armed the Big12 to the point it almost collapsed (will collapse if they and OU leave) and they are arrogant enough that they will come into the SEC and expect everyone to bow down to them.

They were a cancer for the Southwest Conference and have been a cancer to the Big 12. Why would the SEC welcome in that disease?

If the SEC sees power and $$ then it will be. And I have a son who graduated from UT.

OU plays a JV schedule every year and with a 12 team playoff coming it’s a layup to get in every year

I know it’s money but still

Good Lawd. University of Texas does not "play well with others." Ask Colorado, Nebraska, Mizzou, and the Aggies.

Can you imagine Sankey trying to navigate the egos of Alabama, Georgia, and Texas?

Man that SEC East schedule would be a death sentence for Vanderbilt.

If they do this, you have to move the Bama schools to east.

Which means every school in the East except maybe Tennessee would be opposed.

Can’t imagine A&M would support and give up their recruiting advantage in Texas. Not sure Sankey can get this through, even with promises of 25-50% increase in TV revenues.

Kirk Bohls
@kbohls
I'm told Texas A&M and Missouri would be a hard no. Only 2 more needed to block an invitation to Texas, OU.

Beating Texas every year sure does sound fun.
