So Texas screws up the Big 12 deal by going it alone and now that they have fallen behind the SEC should rescue them ?

Get lost

I wish the SEC would go back to 10 teams. But there’s too much money involved.

Vandy pulls up the collective GPA and allows the SEC to say they care about academics. They're not going anywhere, plus they're pretty good at baseball.

Agreed. It makes a ton of sense to add two programs of their caliber and tradition.

I just cannot see OU leaving Okie St hanging in the wind.

So to make this work, you'd have to dissolve the SEC and form a new conference with the major players sending Vandy and USC to showers.

That way you could add 4 programs... UT, OU, OSU, and perhaps TCU

Bye bye missou and Kentucky or south carolina

Kentucky isn’t going anywhere. They are a charter member of the SEC and, while they may not be much in football, the SEC will never voluntarily give up Kentucky basketball.

They strong armed the Big12 to the point it almost collapsed (will collapse if they and OU leave) and they are arrogant enough that they will come into the SEC and expect everyone to bow down to them.
The Big 12 is pos conference. No way Texas can bully the SEC. They can be told to frick off back to their chicken shite pre-SEC competition.

The SEC has the chance to absorb two of the more valuable brands in college football. if anyone thinks the SEC would just tell them to frick off. There may be individual members who don't want it (looks at Aggie crying uncontrollably) but I guarantee you the conference officials want this.

In recent days you have Mark Emmert saying maybe its time for the NCAA to step back and let individual conferences have more power to govern themselves...days later were hearing about the SEC taking on Texas and OU. Its a power move to position the SEC as the dominant conference in a power conference world.

Texas is a Cancer to the League.....SWC, then Big 12,,every League they've been. They are not a good Conference mate.

I don't want an even more over-crowded conference. If those two schools want in, that's fine, but we need to send two schools packing first. And since that won't happen, I think Texas, Oklahoma, and the rest of the Big 12 need to figure out their own problems instead of the SEC always having to carry them when they want out.
