re: Draft Need Priority
Posted by saintlad74 on 12/7/25 at 8:43 pm to SFCSaint77
If I was coach./GM . Try to take down to where I know I can get a stud WR with 1st pick and get additional picks.
A guard or defensive end with second pick.
By 3rd and 4th picks, take best RB, TE , or DB available.
Later rounds take special teams guys ( a returner perhaps) that stand out and maybe grab another offensive lineman ( guard or center)
Last pick? See if there is viable college kicker or punter
So, for you Rattler fans out there....
Posted by saintlad74 on 12/7/25 at 3:25 pm
Shough has won 2 games now and with less talent around him and less starts.
He is bigger, faster, more accurate.
You have no more arguments left to give.
That is all
re: Why screw up your draft position?
Posted by saintlad74 on 12/7/25 at 3:18 pm to BigEasy92
I rather beat a division opponent then gamble on a top draft position of a player you don't know is going to be good in the pros
I care more about beating a division opponent ....

than draft position .
I think we have a quarterback and at least we're not swept by the Buccaneers.
Added bonus we hurt their playoff chances.
You always want to win.

Totally agree

Are the “Bills” the dumbest mascot name ever??

The Browns are kind of dumb, IMO

re: Shaheed runs a kickoff back meanwhile Olave can’t run the correct routes

Can't pay both wide receivers big money.
We still got Olave for at least half a season, next year , without having to break the bank.
At least we got a 4th and 5th round pick .
Had to be done for team's future.

Indiana better team

They are a good team, no doubt , but it helps to have strength of schedule in the mid 40s - 50s.
Their one significant " regular season" opponent was Oregon, maybe you can count Illinois too
They didn't play Michigan or Ohio State during the regular season.
Less likely to get beat
Added to that a decent QB , some experienced players, pretty good transfers, and luck in the injury department. You got a team that was similar to TCU's run a few years ago.
With the way NIL is now, you're going to have these afterthought programs that will have magical seasons.
Take a look at Texas Tech.
Look what they're doing with bought players and Oklahoma and Texas not a threat in their conference anymore.

Grupe has been picked up by the Colts.
He went to Notre Dame , so I wonder if that was a factor ?

I can see him go to the NFL in year three or four.
Depends on if that NFL team has a first overall pic or a young stud QB already in the building.

Still mad we took Miller and not Achane.
re: Falcons not nearly at full strength and Saints still lost by 2 Touchdowns !!
Posted by saintlad74 on 11/24/25 at 5:53 am to TigerSaurus
Well to be fair, the Saints don't have 3 of their original starting offensive lineman. The ones that are playing are the rookie left tackle, and Ruiz ( who might as well played for the Falcons.)
Add to that we have a rookie quarterback, a rookie running back, an undrafted WR starting.
Meanwhile the Falcons have a 13 year vet in former probowler, Kirk Cousins ,
They have Robinson, Alegiers , Mooney and most of their oline intact.
Add to the fact the Grupe , sucked the momentum out of the team and stadium with his 2 misses.
So yeah , I could see that.

Saints had two weeks to prepare for their fiercest rival !!!

Minus Drake London to boot.
And they give us this game???
Unfreaking believable !!!

No , what I am saying is the " 3 " Tight end set, has exposed this defense

Several teams have exposed this to the Saints this season, starting with the Cardinals.

It's still amazing that people don't understand how television markets work

Exactly, a lot of the broadcast goes into East Texas , Southern Arkansas and a little bit of Oklahoma.
Can't be helped, just wish NFL would allow the CBS affiliate to broadcast Saints game at same time.
So instead of downing the area, have some empathy for the Saints fans that live here.
Hell we also contribute to the taxes that keep the Saints in New Orleans.

Can't do a bar, got roped into a work thing , but have some free time to catch a little of the game.
Where can I stream the game?
Posted by saintlad74 on 11/22/25 at 7:21 pm
Is there any " free " streaming service to watch the game ??
Thanks
Thanks

I don't care about the playoffs or the draft this week. frick the Falcons. I want to beat the absolute dog shite out of them

Exactly, just beat the damn Falcons.
I know the season sucks but if they were to sweep the Falcons, that would make it a little bit more tolerable
Enjoy the little things.

re: Saints might play game in Paris as soon as 2026
Posted by saintlad74 on 11/19/25 at 7:01 am to hsfolk
To be honest, I was fully expecting it when they did some France/Saints fan building PR thing last year.
The only thing I worry is the NFL will schedule an away division game the week after.
No bye week for the team to recover.

re: What’s our current record with Shough starting day one?
Posted by saintlad74 on 11/11/25 at 4:44 pm to L5ut1g3r
Well I think the Bears and Buccaneers game were partly Rattler's fault , so possible 2 games there.
I think we could have a shot against the Cardinals if he played like he did against Carolina.
