Bro. There’s 2 total restaurants for atomic. Started in Nola.

Off the Hook only has 3 locations. But They and Atomic are both better than everyone else serving drive thru food. And they serve you as fast as Cane's can fry chicken. The idea here is it doesn't require the dedication of a mom & pop shop to be good and fast with decent food.

I've had spicy chicken sandwiches at just about every fast food restaurant that exists, and Popeyes still has them all beat. The Cajun Flounder is actually really good too, best "fast food" fish sandwich around. The beignets are also good, so Popeyes gets the #1 overall in my view.

Popeye's did something with the Chicken Sammich I don't think people expected. They didn't focus on improving their typical competitive advantage of flavor and spice. They went and got the biggest chicken titties I've ever seen on fast food chicken sammiches. Hell Walk-Ons is the only real restaurant that makes bigger chicken sammiches.

I'll admit I can tell it's over-brined as frick like Chick-Fil-A. But for fast food it's way above the rest.
The Popeye's Chicken Sammich is the best fast food item ever.

Coming from a yankee up north, Chik-Fil-A and Panda Express have been a staple... maybe not as long as it was in SWLA, but it’s nothing new

CFA
Cookout
Whataburger
Bojangles

Outside of LA there are barely any Canes restaurants in the southeast. Easier to find them out west. Really don't consider them southern.

Culver's is good but more Midwest.

Does Popeyes count as Southern still or no?

It amazes me how many of y'all think Popeyes is all that. Around here they are the bottom of the barrel shite hole restaurant.

Atomic is a favorite of mine. They conceptualized it as a chain from the beginning only two stores. But it's a high quality burger and not much more than McDonald's.

Company Burger got so expensive that I took them out of rotation. It's good. But $17 for a burger, fries and drink? I'll just go to a sit down restaurant. Like High hat.

Popeyes sucks. The absolute worst of fast food chains.

Disgusting food and even more disgusting inept employees. You need a microscope to see the chicken pieces.

Used to say I wouldn’t eat Popeyes if it was free. Now I wouldn’t eat there if you paid me. Not worth the hassle.

I don't think yall are talking about the same place. Southern Classic has locations in at least Ruston, Grambling, and Farmerville.

All fast food is hot garbage.

Bojangles is top-tier hot garbage. Same with Cookout.

Ruth’s Chris 1

Probably the most overrated and overpriced restaurant in the New Orleans Metro area. Crazy Johnny’s blew their steaks away for a 1/4 of the price.

That is because amazing seafood isn't unique to New Orleans.

I've never had Cane's, but my assumption is all those chicken finger places are all about the same.

They are. There is a place at Texas A&M called Layne's. Canes, Zaxby's and Lanyne's have the same sauce and main dishes.
