Because the media and a lot of wealthy people love the Jews / are Jewish?
I think there is a lot of sympathy for the Jews...

Well, that's not really true. There are several Palestinian established cities in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
Where can I buy the fruits of their labor? What successful industry do they have? Did they create HalalBook? Genuinely curious. Established cities doesn't mean anything to me.

A Rabbi, a priest, and a reverend are having lunch one day and start arguing about what the proper amount of money to give to the church is. The priest says, "A person should draw a circle on the ground and then take all of his money and throw it up into the air. Whatever lands in the circle is God's share and should be given to the church". The reverend thought a bit and then disagreed with the priest. "There is more ground outside of the circle and the glory is His, so it makes sense that we should throw the money up in the air and whatever lands outside the circle will go to His church." The rabbi immediately started shaking his head. "Oy vey! Boys, boys, we draw a circle on the ground and throw the money into the air. Whatever God wants, he keeps!"

And it's usually from the same people who are convinced of some Jewish conspiracy against their demographic.

Why can't idiots differentiate between Israel and Jews?

Because a bunch of Americans are under a delusional belief that a condition that must be met before Jesus returns to the world is that Israel must be an existing nation.
Dead serious.
This fallacy is perpetrated by Jews and Israel to help exploit white conservative Christians to support a cabal of people who view America and non Jews as cattle, servants, people whom to exploit, and lobby for their money and their defense when at all turns they try to undermine American sovereignty.
It’s absolutely laughable to me people think Israel is our friend and that white Americans will gladly and fervently support anything pro Israel.
frick. Israel.

I didn't read the whole thread, but if it is yet to be mentioned, following WWII and the partitioning of Palestine, the eventual State of Israel has served as a proxy for the Western Powers in the region whereas the Arab states (excluding the Saudis) were a proxy for the Soviet bloc. In fact, it can certainly be argued that the hot wars in 1948, 1956, 1967 and 1973 were substantial proving grounds for American military technology and doctrine. The state of Israel went a long way towards helping advance Anglo-American foreign policy agendas in the region for many, many years, and to some degree continue to this day. Now the thing is that on a state level, this is oftentimes far from overt, and as often as not is a back channel type of thing, which certainly sends mixed messages. Also Israel is a secular state and the great majority has no interest in theocracy, so you have a stable, economically viable state that is a buffer to political instability, extremism and the disturbing trend toward theocratic rule in the region.
Israel is far, far from the western puppet that the Arab states claim that it is, and they are generally are going to look after their own interests regardless of what America tries to dictate.

Assuming it's not a rhetorical question:
1) Founded on similar democratic principles and the central idea of freedom/liberty in a region where this is far from the norm
2) True ally of the U.S. in an unstable region with few allies who actually like the West
3) Can defend themselves without requiring U.S. or foreign presence (unlike other allies)
4) Historically persecuted group that was forced to live in other countries when their homeland was occupied
There are lots more reasons (e.g., exports and mutually beneficial national security/military interests), but these are the major reasons without touching on any religious grounds. Those who think the U.S. supports Israel based solely on the Bible are probably not the geopolitical experts they think they are.
