WBRZ Link - Mississippi community college baws think they set a record.

OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (AP) — A Mississippi community college says it’s broken the Guinness World Record for the largest-ever jambalaya.

WXXV25-TV reports that Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College worked to make the dish as part of a May 1 fundraiser in Ocean Springs for campus food pantries.

Event Coordinator Carin Platt told WXXV25 before the event that the college was planning to make around 3,700 pounds of jambalaya. That amount would be enough to beat the current record of 3,371 pounds set by the Jambalaya Festival Association in Gonzales, Louisiana in 2009.

Shots fired Gonzales. Question is, did they use the jambalaya calculator?

I know there's a baw in the AP with a bigger pot ready to go.

I don't know why anyone in Gonzales set out to make a set amount in 09 but I was at that Festival.

I know for a fact Jambalaya By Shake and Jambalaya Shoppe could double that if the catering need arose. So it's a very Weird Flex.

But it’s a flex none the less. Shots have been fired. It’s time for someone to step up and return fire

Null and void. Just as true Scotch must come from Scotland, so must jambalaya come from da bayou.
