His rise was pretty meteoric. He was the first non-Brazilian to win the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship at black belt level which was a really big deal. He had major success in both the US & Japan in MMA.
Then he won both the UFC WW & LW titles. He’d fight any weight class but His issue was he never seemed to taking training serious. The running joke was always how great a “motivated BJ Penn” could be.
Garry was too passive the last 2 rounds. Had chances to open up but didn’t and eventually ended up on his back.
Glad he finally got in. He was such a fun player to watch.

It was a fantastic card. Tons of action.

Watched the first episode. Pretty terrible.

It’s just Will Ferrell trying to do everything we thought was funny 25 years ago but doing it ad nauseam.

He’s just simply not funny anymore. It’s an old, tired schtick.
Season started a little slow but last 1/2 of it was very good.

Took me a while to start remembering what happened in Season 1 because I kept confusing story lines with The Night Agent & Night Manager
Started slow but got better as the series went on.

Not a bad watch IMO.
Mets should have fired Mendoza after the collapse last year, instead they let him fire his whole staff.
I like them, especially the spear logo but if you look at the spear logo it’s virtually impossible for the spear to travel through the “W” that way. Once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
I stay at the Hyatt at the foot of Beale St. several times a year. It’s the one LeBron was bitching about. There’s been a few NBA teams there over the years. It’s a really nice hotel IMO.

Of course I don’t make $50,000,000 a year so our standards could be slightly different.
Would have liked to see them have gray/silver pants & black jersey.

Wife is flying out Monday morning. Will everything be back to normal by then?

I’d arrive early to be safe. Mondays have been bad, especially the mornings. It could possibly be better due to the funding but I wouldn’t take the chance.
ESPN article says Timberwolves or Grizzles would have to move to Eastern Conference.
I was through pre-check in less than 5 minutes at 5:45am this morning.

Standard TSA looked like it could have been maybe 45min or less. Wasn’t bad.

I typically fly out every other Tuesday and it didn’t seem much different outside the little longer standard TSA line.

I have free parking in the Hyatt garage. I’m picturing an absolute shite show of a mess trying to get out the garage tomorrow. Do y’all agree? Guess park and walk is the better option ??

It was bad enough I had to take my kid to this but it also took me 1.5 hrs to get out of the damn parking garage by the arena Saturday night.
I flew out of Hobby today. Took me 2 hrs to get through Clear line. Regular TSA was 3+ hrs. Never seen anything like it.
I think this has more to do with TSA staff calling off today than anything else. This week alone I flew MSYx2, LIT & MEM. No issues during the work week. Now today I was a complete shite show.
First episode was dragging arse but the ending was solid.

Great time for me to be in El Paso.

Guess I’m gonna have to drive to Phoenix , Midland or Albuquerque and fly out
Looked like Blanche from Golden Girls singing lead
