I know you're not overly bright - you've proven that repeatedly. When someone says "probably... maybe... probably" in the span of 12 words, they are bullshitting.

You buy into it because it fits your dumbass narrative. That's fine. Just don't try to sell it without people calling you a moron for pushing it.

You came into my thread and lied that less than 10% of south dakotans have had covid.

There are 86,000 recorded cases in south dakota.

But you have to multiply by 5 to get the real number of total infected. That is what the cdc recommends, what gottlieb has said, fauci, etc.

how are you not understanding this?

Damn, so sensitive, Lester. Probably just frustrations stemming from all that waiting on those NCAA allegations that you and your boy Dickie V have said are sure to drop "any day now" since May. Any...day...now.

10 of every 800 South Dakotans die every year, like every where else.

The devil is in the details, it is why all of the covid stats you hear are BS. They are counting as Covid deaths if they test positive, even if they had no symptoms, a heart attack is a covid death if the patient tested positive.

There are 884,659 South Dakotans

1 out of every 800 is like 1100 out of 884,659.

Their per capita death rate would rank them 3rd worst in the world. I think that's the definition of terrible.

but it's because of how widespread it is there.

the death RATE in south dakota isn't high.

And if you look at the trends, south dakota has clearly passed the peak. new cases are trending down.

they accomplished this while keeping their economy open.

Not so sure about that, Bud. You realize that Louisiana has done even worse on a per capita basis, right? Lots of other states too. And unlike LA the state was kept open so that people could continue their livelihoods. Let that sink in. LA destroyed its economy and still did worse.

According to this model South Dakota is at around 37% infected. I doubt your simple mind can comprehend such models though by judging the way you have posted on here.

Here is a link if you want as well.

I think people missed what you're saying here. If the US life expectancy is 80, then every year approximately 1 out of 80 of the population will die.

in 2020, for the over 65 Pop, Covid has been attributed for about 10% of deaths, 90% other causes.

quote:

65–74 years 53,579 of 523,408 deaths
75–84 years 67,305 of 637,516 deaths
85 years and over 77,959 of 788,452 deaths

So, 1 in 80 will die, 10% COVID= 1 in 800.

Sky not falling.

What this person doesn’t tell you is that 50% of Dakota has had the virus
This site had previously been projecting deaths and had been the most accurate model, but it's now focusing on estimating infections (current, new, and total).

COVID Tracking for North Dakota

According to its estimates, 37.4% of those in South Dakota have been infected in total by November 21st; however, since that's at point where some population immunity has developed, it appeared to be slowing. So I'm not sure if it will have reached 50% yet.

In addition, since it takes about 3 weeks from infection until death, and even longer in the Dakotas right now since they have a major backlog with their death processing, 35% had been infected 3 weeks ago.

So if it does reach 50% then we're looking at closer to 1/500 dead in South Dakota, but due to the backlogs in their data, which is probably made worse by the recent holiday, it may be quite a bit worse (maybe 1 in 300).

To add to this, their positivity rate had been so high for a while in the Dakotas, sometimes exceeding 50%, which was higher than we were seeing in the early hit places when testing capacity was limited. So that means they were catching fewer deaths. And while excess death data nationally has been around 30 to 40 percent ABOVE COVID deaths throughout the pandemic, this excess death above COVID has been higher in places where more cases have likely been missed. So their deaths are likely a pretty big undestimate, at least for a while.

south dakota could provide the world with the clearest sign yet what the true death rate of covid is.

Also, I just looked this up: South dakota is right in the middle (23rd) in terms of age of population compared to rest of america. That means it isn't too skewed young or old.
