My advice would be to go ahead and check out of basketball season. You can't go into SEC play with 4-5 losses.

This team is NIT bound. Utah is not a good basketball team at all. Complete disaster of a week that just changed the outlook on the season.

Win the game and Lebby is on the hotseat and the MSU program is still in disarray going into 2026 even if Kiffin leaves.
Lose and MSU has tons of momentum heading into 2026. Kiffin leaving will only add fuel to the fire and create even more momentum for them. Bottom line is it is a must win game to keep the separation between our programs.
The only way that Kiffin stays if he's stubborn and truly stands to his "does not discuss coaching future/contracts during the season" rationale.
