Frick 2020 and this Covid(err... China flu) crap. I tested positive for Covid last Friday, got it from my wife. (probably some kind of Jody crap going on, but in real life she is a healthcare worker)

I've had mild symptoms since and they have been manageable, but wouldn't you know late last night, my smell turns off like I switched a light switch.

Aforementioned wife is cooking now and I can't smell any of it. Probably won't be able to taste it either. Dammit to hell, just hours before Thanksgiving.

Anyway enough of my pity. Quick question.

For the people that have lost smell because of Covid how long did it last? Its a very strange feeling and I wondering how long this might hang around.

For real thou, I hope everybody that reads this has a great Thanksgiving!

I guarantee by 7pm tonight I will have a fart that will reignite your sense of smell and clear your sinuses.

Anywhere from a few days to two weeks for most. Some have had it last a few months.

Careful boys, I will warn you ahead of time, she is Covid infested.

My friends say she is a Super Spreader. But whats weird is they called her that way before she got Covid.

Maybe it is just your wife's cooking.

Have you honestly never lost taste or smell with an illness in the past? That was always the case when I got the flu as a kid.

Tested positive last Thursday. Had mild symptoms since that Monday. Wife also tested positive. I realized my sense of smell was out when my kid had a shite diaper and I didn't smell a thing. Normally gag. That was last Friday night. My taste went out that evening too. Taste came back Sunday around lunch but smell has been gone/muted since. Wife still can't smell or taste.

Silver lining is you can eat all the arse you want and don't have to wait until just after she showers.

Get a taste of Ketchup and of Barbeque sauce, see if they taste like alcohol or formaldehyde? That was the first thing that I noticed, those two things smells went off the chart nasty.

Week later things are starting to come back.
