Milwaukee didn't change the deal, the Pelicans did. So in sense it was finalized in what was being sent out on the Bucks end.

This fills a need and I'm fine with it, but it was asked why some people were complaining. I dont know Hill's full value on the market, guess we will see what OKC gets when they trade him.

The closest is Jokic but he's the literal engine of that team and not really comparable.

the frick he is.... that offense runs through and with Murray... Jokic is a great player, but Murray (who I'm still pissed we didn't even think about taking in the draft) is the heart and soul of the Nuggets...

Does salary work with just Hill and Jrue going out and Adams and Bledsoe in? I don’t think it does but someone let me know.

Did I miss a Griff quote on this trade that isn't even finalized?

I think the complaint is George Hill has more value than Adams. So sending picks on top of Hill isn't a good deal.

Hill was a positive. Vet backup pg that can shoot the three. An asset always wanted by contenders. We gave up a 2nd last year for our vet center on an expiring deal. That was a way better value than what the Adams contract is. Adams is a better player than Favors no doubt but not sure if hes 12 million a year better. And we give up a first and two seconds? Puzzling trade

Easiest to think of the trade (from Pels perspective) as:

Jrue, Darius Miller, #42, 2024 Washington 2nd

for

Bledsoe, Adams, Milwaukee 2025 and 2027 firsts, and swap rights with Milwaukee in 24 and 26

Exactly. Great trade. I love Steven Adams and what he will bring to this team. He’s one of the best pick setters in the league, one of the best defensive centers, and one of the best rebounders. Our offense was just fine with Favors, and Adam’s is a lot better than him, ALOT!
We should lead the league in offensive rebounds between Zion putbacks and Adam’s and Harts hustle.

other than Jrue being a very good 2 way guard, this is a fricking GREAT haul for the Pels...

One of the best finishers based on percentages as well. He won’t be fumbling every other pass like Favors did. Most of all, he’s going to keep Zion clean from the dirty work.

If you told everyone a week ago we'd get 2 first round picks and 2 pick swaps for Jrue every single one of us would react the same way we did when we thought we got 3

but in the real world, we were very G heavy, needed a starting C, as well as a more physical defensive presence..... Adams is the BEST option for the latter, so it makes ALL the sense to trade the former...

This has nothing to do with the individual players trade value.

and the picks are not going to end up being high picks anyway.... and sure you could say, well, you could package 2 1st rounders to move up into the top 5 or whatever

Just stop it.

Glad to see a few of you guys understand how the real basketball world works. Some of you guys just think we can bend over every team and force them to give us everything we want and nothing they want. It’s not that simple.

As I said earlier, be prepared for Ball to shoot 10 3’s a game with a starting lineup of Ball, Bledsoe, BI, Zion, and Steven Adams. If Ball is the guy they expect to be the floor spacer, he’s going to be living his best life!

right, cause Ingram didnt make 40% of the 3's he took last year lol

I know everyone has been calling for Beal for years but who says Beal will be traded here and most importantly stay here long term? Let’s not forget that we are a small market team that doesn’t have a great track record of attracting and most importantly keeping elite talent. Who says he wouldn’t want to play in a larger market like Chicago, LA (because that’s happened the last 3 times to us with BD, AD, and Chris Paul), or Miami?

My point is that we are speaking like we are collecting all these assets to get Beal like it’s a predetermined thing and it’s not.

That's not remotely true. Murray is good, don't get me wrong, but that's Jokic's team. Everything they do on offense quite literally revolves around Jokic.

Wish we could of held onto Hill

why? so he could give us 8-10 minutes, 4 points, 1 assist, and maybe 1 rebound a game next year, if and when he's ever healthy?

Sons, while giving up the first round pick is a little tough to swallow, I absolutely LOVE the Adams trade. We needed an anchor for SVG, and we had to move a guard out. Hill is 34 and JJ is a better shooter.

Need a back-up wing. Maybe bring back 3tuan on the cheep.

Adams/Zion are gonna knock peeps on their asses and I’m here for it.

Flock up, Sons. We ride.

I guess we still don't know the full details of the protections, but isn't there a significant chance that the denver 1st we're sending out eventually becomes 2 seconds in 2027?

It's lottery protected, I expect Denver to still be a playoff team in 3 years unless there's a significant injury to Jokic/Murray. That's going to be a 2023 pick in the 20s.

We got what we wanted out of this trade, but Presti got a lot for an expiring old school center.
