No. But it is a flag of losers and doesn’t need to be flown

Does it offend me? Personally, no. I believe people have the right to fly whatever flag they want.
But do I support it? No. First of all, the confederacy fought against the US and then was absorbed in 1865. As proud as I am to be from Louisiana, which was once a confederate state, I am an American first.
I do know this. People who say "its not about hate its about heritage".. If you ask them what do they mean by that exactly, more than likely they will not be able to provide you will an answer that makes sense.

In my teens I had a confederate flag beach towel. Never got a comment or a weird look about it back then.
Society chose to place taboos on items and speech very quickly in the early 90s.

Doesn’t offend me
I still fly one
I still fly one

So long as an individual isn't infringing on the rights of another, I don't care what they do.

It needs to go. Trashy.

Serious question
How could it? I'm a white southerner, that flag was stitched just for me. Any white southerner claiming they're offended by it is fricking full of shite. That being said, I totally understand why a black person would hate it.

No. People who rail on how offended they are offend me.
Posted on 10/24/20 at 11:10 am to nineteeneighty
Nothing "offends" me.

Definitely not... but it gives me a pretty solid idea about the person flying it.
Posted on 10/24/20 at 11:11 am to nineteeneighty
No, but I understand why some people might feel different.

It doesn’t offend me, but if you fly it there is a 100% chance you are trashy
Posted on 10/24/20 at 11:23 am to nineteeneighty
I’m apathetic to it. I won’t fly one. To be honest, I think most of the people in my area who do are doing it for racist reasons. I don’t believe that was necessarily true before 2020.

Not me. But I do not like how it was twisted to be used as a hate symbol. It should just be a flag to represent the south as a region and culture just like the lone star flag represents Texas.

Doesn’t offend me at all. Just helps identify which house’s have the dumb rednecks.
Posted on 10/24/20 at 11:29 am to nineteeneighty
I don't really care. It's helpful to identify trashy people.
Although trashy people can make something of themselves. It's called "garbage can". Not "garbage cannot".

No but I find in general the ones who fly it aren’t bright
Posted on 10/24/20 at 11:44 am to nineteeneighty
It bothers me that it’s so taboo now simply because it’s a really cool design and asthetic. A really well designed flag no matter the colors
See, cool as hell.
Plus the whole “rebel” thing. Rebels are awesome. We’ve rooted for them throughout history. Standing up to empires. Fighting for their way of life against all odds.
Enough time has passed between the actual events that it shouldn’t be as controversial as it is.
The outrage is manufactured, not organic

No. I see a flag. I guess I’m “a bad person” but I am not offended. We have a purple and gold rebel flag somewhere.
