I thought the first couple months after 911 was the craziest "everything changed" momenti would ever experience.

2020 said hold my beer.

Solar flare knocking out the power grid will make Covid look like a weekend beach trip

The Singularity. That will make this look like nothing, for good or bad.

The Rapture of believers if it is as some think and pre-tribulation.

Covid is a really bad cold that can be lethal for people with pre-existing conditions. The only crazy thing about covid is the irrationality that surrounds it.

Probably not but I think covid will have an impact on media and politics for a long time.

Hope I'm wrong, but, this whole decade is going to have us all pining for the simpler days of January 2020.

It’s not just covid19 but 2020 as a whole. It’s everything that’s going on right now. It’s Covid, it’s riots, it’s hurricanes, and more hurricanes, it’s wildfires, etc. we’re seeing complete breakdowns of society this year. Almost like the end of times. We should see a foot of snow in November/December in Louisiana to cap off the year.

Covid isn’t really even that crazy. Epidemics and pandemics are part of nature. It’s our reaction and endless hysteria that has been crazy. We will likely see another pandemic that is much more serious in the next 50 years

God I hope not. But, I mean, compared to the 1910s I’d say we have it relatively good. Millions dying in WW1, plus the spanish flu?

Yeah I’ll take no new wars and a disease 99% of people survive
